Yum Yum ASMR
I was a customer today. The front store staff was very friendly. I ordered the 3 meat plate (pulled pork, brisket and ribs) mac&cheese was my side along with a square of cornbread.

This BBQ was good, decent even but not great. Place has 3 seats and is mainly Togo with plenty of parking. Cornbread was kinda dry, the macncheese was more of a mixin/ingredient then a standalone. I think the sandwiches are the play not the platter. Beans and pudding were good. Free mini pancakes.

I ordered the Chopped BBQ Brisket Sandwich w/ a side of Carolina Slaw or cornbread, I got both sides.. I, for the first time in my life, didn’t drown the Sandwich in a sauce of my choice, I wanted to taste the beef, and was a happy with that decision!! Just pure tasty high quality beef brisket (chopped/pulled) and totally loaded. 5 plus!! The slaw is made the exact way it should with a nice vinegar ingredient, like it’s supposed to be, especially if you’re going to preface it with Carolina. The cornbread was solid, a little different than most, very tasty, no dipping necessary. This a to go and catering restaurant, well worth it. I highly recommend.

They aren’t kidding when they say soul food. We came here to fulfill a BBQ craving and were pleasantly surprised. There is minimal seating inside and they are mainly take out. Not only was the food delicious but everyone working there was so helpful and delightful to interact with. I do regret not trying the brisket but it just means we will need to go back! We ended up getting the pulled pork and jerk chicken. Both of which you can tell are made with the special ingredient of love. Get that BBQ you’ve been craving at Thomas Smokey Pit Stop and prepare to be BBQ food happy!

Tried Thomas Smokey pit stop today for the first time. I ordered the 3 meat platter and chose Chopped BBQ brisket, pulled pork and Carolina ribs with baked beans, Mac n cheese, candied yams and potato salad and corn bread. I also ordered the banana pudding as well. Here’s my honest review- The pulled pork is phenomenal if you need a kick add the bbq sauce and its perfection. Tender, Nice portion size too, The ribs were good as well I just like my ribs cooked wet but they are dry but falling off the bone. The chopped brisket was new for me I liked it but I would eat it on sandwich. Now for the sides mac n cheese and yams are great! Cornbread was nice, soft and fresh. The baked beans were good and had a big favor and the potato salad was good I just like my potatos mashed but it had good favor! All in all go support and try you some of this good bbq! Oh yeah the banana pudding is soooooo good!

Ribs were good. Corn bread lil dry. But the Mac n cheese was a pretty big let down. It had either been sitting all day in a warming tray, or they microwaved it before giving it to me. Idk why it’s impossible to find good Mac n cheese in this area. The person who helped me was very friendly and helpful. But for over $15 I kind of expected more than 3 ribs (which were good) old and dry Mac n cheese and a dry biscuit. I will give them another try, hopefully it’s better.

First time here and I mostly enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and nice. Part of my order, Mac and cheese was missing. I called and they had one waiting for me and provided extra due to accommodating my having to come back. Best thing is I arrived a few minutes after they closed, but they had it ready for me. The staff were very nice. Now the food : Mac and cheese was delicious. I enjoyed the candy yams also. The meat is charcoal black where some may not like it, but the ribs were fall off the bones. I could be wrong but the collards had a pickle after taste or maybe it was just me. Otherwise the meal was perfect and my family and myself are overly stuff. The potato salad was perfect and really tasty. Overall it was a very good meal and I ate way too much. Thank you for providing more soul food East of the River.

The best barbecue I’ve had in the state. Real Southern barbecue. I can vouch for the pulled brisket, cornbread, Mac & cheese, yams and collards. And the coconut pound cake is no joke! Some of the best cake I’ve ever had. 5/5. Highly recommend and affordably priced for a lot of food. Found my go-to spot.
