I’ve been dining at the Gables since 1975. Larry and Sue Navicki have always been the greatest hosts and good friends to all of their customers. In all the years I have dined there I have never had a meal that was less than superb. It is 5 stars every time. I live out of state now but rest assured every trip back to the area includes at least one fine meal there.

Interesting slice of old-school Americana, West Virginia non-tourist off-the-beaten-path steakhouse. Delmonico’s were very tasty, and the staff is outstanding. Met by Grandfather at the press the buzzer to get in door, wait person was daughter, and cook was granddaughter. Because family-owned, smoking permitted inside! In the bar area. No fried kale on the menu. If you require vegetarian, or something you saw on the Food Network, better to skip the place. On the other hand, if you like a good steak, a twice baked potato, a tasty salad, and some garlic bread, you are golden.

Good place for reunions, family get togethers. Older building with some remodeling needed. Food was good and kept hot. Entertainment was decent. Club is cash only, so bring plenty of it.
