Food was GOOD! Reasonably priced, and nice sized portions. Staff was friendly and super helpful when answering our questions as this was our first visit. I enjoyed this restaurant experience, tastes like a home cooked soul food meal! We drove 30+ minutes to try this place and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT, we’ll definitely be back!!

Tia knows SOUL! I am All Choked Up Right now. This place is a JEWEL. I believe she put her ENTIRE FOOT into the Macaroni & cheese. I purchased for lunch the Fried chicken dinner. It comes with 2 sides. You already know about the Mac but my 2nd vegetable was fried okra. You really have to pullover to a reststop or a parking lot that has a sparse amount of parking. I’m just trying to warn you that when you open that To go plate, your nasals will flare open from the SHEER AROMA. You will soon feel your eyes opening & closing involuntarily as you inhale the Crunchy, Hot, FRIED CHICKEN.

I was sooo happy to find some soul food. And it was delicious. For the most part. The fish was perfectly fried. The green beans were well seasoned and the Mac and cheese was BAKED, none of that “cheese sauce” foolishness that has no place in a soul food restaurant. My only complaint is that my candied yams were not cooked all the way through. That was disappointing but the rest of the meal was so good I couldn’t even get upset. I will be back.

First time trying & I will say they did NOT disappoint by any means. Ordered the BBQ polish dog fries & a side of candied yams. Everything was so hot, delicious, & fresh!!! Never had a polish dog that good! Can’t wait to come back & try something else. Customer service was also really good, even though I was the only one in line they did a great job from start to finish.

I was skeptical about eating here due to not smelling any soul food aroma while walking into the establishment. My husband Yams were cold and it didn’t seem as though the food was in warmers to be served hot and fresh. Again, there was no Aroma of Soul Food cooking. Seems as though they microwaved the food(unsure). I wish Best of Luck to the business, but we’re really looking for a Soul Food restaurant to make home. Quality over Quantity.

The service had much to be desired. We initially was given only a fork, no napkins. We were given paper that you dry your hanks with. We had to ask for a knife. Wanted the gumbo which was listed on the menu as available on the day we were there, but they didn’t make it. Will probably not return.

Finally got my chance to experience Tia’s last night. Been waiting because I refused to wait in those long lines. For the most part my experience was good. I ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Wings with Dressing and Candied Yams. Nothing to complain about there. Could have used gravy on my Dressing and they forgot my cranberry sauce. But I’m not going to be picky about that. Also ordered Baby Back Ribs with Fried Okra and Mac n Cheese. The Okra and Mac were good. Overall, most of the meal was good and I’m sure I’ll come back. Like trying different stuff and unfortunately Saginaw doesn’t offer a serious variety. And like I said, the food was actually good…

Hands down best soul food in Saginaw! I haven’t had food as delicious as this since I was down in Oklahoma with my Granny. Thank you for bringing back childhood memories through your food. I will be back to order more! Side note: if you are thinking about ordering the banana pudding, DO IT!!!!!

I am generally hesitant to order chicken of any kind from ANY restaurant. The fried chicken I ordered here was PERFECT. The fried coating was crunchy and fresh to perfection! I can count on one hand the amount of places I am willing to order bone in chicken from, I will be returning!!
