I came in on the right day. I got chips salsa, soda, two cheese enchiladas with a puffy taco for less than $10. The lunch special here is fantastic. It’s a great value for very decent food. I especially liked the salsa and puffy taco. I bought a pizza slice next door then found out about this deal and decided to eat the pizza later. I’m glad I did, I will be back – its very good.

Ordered breakfast through the drive thru and the quality of food isn’t equivalent to eating inside. Ordered three breakfast tacos and the cheese was forgotten in all the tacos and very small. I had to ask for extra green salsa at the window and the lady assured me there was some in the bag, yet there was only one. The most disappointing item was the small menudo. The cost is $9.00, and the size is small, I asked is there onion and cilantro and was told it’s in the bag, def was not when I arrived home. The actual menudo had a pigs foot that took up most of the container and had no hominy. I honestly feel like if you’re going to price such a classic dish like menudo for $9 it’s going to taste great, and the flavor was just not there. I’m giving this 3 stars solely because I previously ate here but sat inside the restaurant and the food was tasty,fresh and indeed hand made tortillas, but after this drive thru experience I don’t think I’d consider this to go option again

I ordered drive thru, but you can dine in. I decided I’d give Tia’s Taco Hut a shot since the place that was here before at this location was one of my favorites to get a chicken sandwich. Immediately, I noticed The Roadrunner. It’s chicken on Texas Toast with grilled onions and mushrooms. Sold! It was delicious! And the fries were steak fries and tasted fresh. I will probably order this a few more times before I try something else.

As if this review Tia’s has under 4 stars. That’s not representative of what you’ll be experiencing. The tortillas are hot and fresh. The chicken is tender and juicy. The asada is perfectly crisp without being burnt. Even the rice and beans are solid. The inside is spacious with ample room for groups. The only knock I have is that the waitress was obviously unfriendly. That aside, you’ll be eating really good food.

Love this place! Great food at unbelievable prices! Barbacoa is great, breakfast tacos are full and delicious, puffy tacos would have been great if they had just used taco meat and not picadillo. Adriana is delightful. Every we come to San Antonio, we eat here several times.

If you are going to charge your customer ( former customer) for pico de Gallo at least put Cilantro in It! Freaking charging for chopped tomatoes onions n jalapeños really. Yes you saved on cost but lost my sales$

My first visit here was a very good experience! After a year of this challenging pandemic, I’m still not eating in a restaurant. I got some tacos and 2 dinners “to go”. I ordered the “Laredo plate” (two cheese enchiladas, one puffy taco with ground beef, rice and beans and 2 freshly-made flour tortillas). Also, the Gordita plate (2 yummy gorditas with ground beef, rice and beans and 2 freshly-made flour tortillas). Everything was made to order and really delicious. The ground beef was very well seasoned and tasty. Also, they were generous with both the red and green hot sauces that accompanied my to go order. The tacos ordered were simple bean and cheese, but even those reheated were very good! Although the Austin market is very competitive, I hope that Tia’s Taco Hut will expand here one day! Looking forward to my next visit and stop in San Antonio.

Every time I come here it takes forever. I think I’ll just stop coming to this location or business all together. None of the employees wear actual pants. You can see the lack of professionalism just from how they are dressed and how they answered the phone which is why I didn’t place my order over the phone. Took long to answer the phone then had horrible customer service. 1.5 stars is the rating I give .
