I’ve been eating at Tflats for my entire adult life. This is the worst location ever. Our order was wrong. They didn’t give me the dressing for my salad, I even paid for an extra container and it was missing. The guacamole on my salad was brown. The chicken is also much smaller then my regular location. Our tacos were stale and barely filled. The rice has no seasoning on it? It’s usually an orange/red color??? What’s going on here? We had a bad experience last time too but I thought it was just a one off. Obviously not since they once again messed up.

4 years ago I gave them four stars. They have really gone downhill since then. The place is always grimy looking. The floor is greasy. The bathrooms are almost “outside service station” bathroom condition. The free salsa cup is now 1/4 the size it used to be. The hot sauce bar should have a sign stating, “use at your own risk” because it’s so nasty. They also stopped stocking Dos Equis beer and now they sell Bud light products.

I think we found our go to place for Mexican food! YUM ! We stopped there on our way home from Sarasota looking for something quick. Not knowing that it would also be delicious! We sat outside, there was a nice breeze so it was fine. But they have inside seating as well. The place is very colorfully decorated. It’s a fun ambiance. Check it out, if you haven’t already. They have specials on Tuesdays and Thursday. Also for the 25th anniversary they have specials everyday between 2-5pm.

I would have gave it 5 stars it they forgot the sour cream on chicken enchiladas. The BEST thing about it is the chips and queso. Their cheese sauce tastes a lot like Nacho cheese Doritos but think of it as, “As much cheese as you want on the chips” It’s awesome.

I hate writing negative reviews. But given my last two visits to this location I felt the need to share. Last time they literally forgot my order. After paying for my food and waiting a significant amount of time I finally asked for an update on my order and they said it got lost. For today’s visit, which will be the last time I ever go to this location, I have attached a photo of what they apparently define as a $4 chicken taco. I also submitted my order online to try and save time but that doesn’t do any good. I thought submitting my order online would save some time but I counted 5 people to walk in, order in the restaurant and receive their food before mine was brought out. This location of Tijuana Flats absolutely sucks.

The restaurant was empty when we arrived on Sunday evening around 6:00pm. Not sure whether this was good or bad. We ordered chicken soft and the hard tacos with chips. First of all the chips were just more hard tacos and no sauce. Strangely, the tomato mix accompanying the soft tacos contained onion. Onion and chicken!? Expensive at over $25.

Excellent good. Great customer service. We ate outside under one of the fans and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The only negative was the flies, but they like it there too!

I’m a frequent TFlats customer, and this location gets worse each time we visit. Downtown isn’t as close, but it’s worth the drive for friendly staff and a clean restaurant. The wait to order was ridiculously long, and 2 people that ordered food after us received their food first. We weren’t told they were out of shrimp until after they charged us. We weren’t offered a refund of the $2+ difference, and when asked, the cashier was rude and said that when the manager gets off the phone they will take care of it. She gestured toward the manager, who was sitting at a table wearing a Subway shirt on the phone loudly complaining about another employee, and saying how much she wants to be transferred to another location. We ordered a large queso and were given very few chips to go with 2 orders of tacos and the large queso. The queso came out cold with a thick layer of hardened sludge on top, and was chunky all the way through. When we asked for more chips we received a rude warning that they should be charging us for the chips, and that we ordered the queso as a side. She was rude and argumentative when we questioned why we wouldn’t get more chips with a large bowl of queso. Had we known to order it as a “starter” and not a “side”, we would have gladly paid the extra $1 for chips had we known it was coming with the meager amount they put on our trays. Bad experience overall. Glad there’s another location nearby. We will be back to T Flats, just not this one.

They’re medium size chimichanga has shrank significantly it’s essentially a kid’s meal now. The girl behind the counter told me the portions have become smaller but the price of course hasn’t changed.
