Tiki Taco chefs use only the finest ingredients including Prime ground beef and USDA-certified steak and chicken breast. We hand shred fresh, leaf lettuce daily, use sweet, ripe tomatoes, and procure the freshest cheese available. Our corn tortilla shells are prepared in olive oil and made to order. Our refried, pinto, and black beans, Tiki rice, guacamole, salsa, and pico de gallo are made fresh daily in our Tiki kitchen.

Ate here for happy hour on 8/11/23. Ordered the two grilled chicken tacos and got a side of rice to go with it. I arrived a little before 430pm and didn’t get out until nearly 545pm. Food was delicious, but it took over 20-30 minutes to get my food and it wasn’t even busy, let alone crowded… and it’s not like two street tacos are all that big or take long to cook. They offer a cash discount, which is nice, but the waitress forgot to bring me my change back! That took several additional minutes, but it was crowded then.

Tiki Taco is a new beach style Mexican food eatery that opened up in the Best Buy shopping center. The food caters to more healthy versions of the food styles you know and love. They even have a keto menu, which is particularly helpful if you are trying to avoid a huge carb uptake. It’s a huge space, but most because it used to house the former draughts. They just opened about two weeks now, and the staff are still finding their bearings and getting used to when service will be heavy as opposed to light. Nice place. Friendly staff. Food is good, but I need to definitely try more of the options before giving a full opinion.

I was not impressed. I’m so sorry how many restaurants that serve Mexican food or nachos? Can we have a Thousand Oaks and no I cannot send my food back I think when you make a mistake you should offer 50% off give somebody a free drink some thing. For one I don’t send my food back. I’m afraid that they’re going to not handle it with special care. I’m very picky. Where are you?

First time at Tiki Taco. The salsa had no flavor but the tortillas were great, fresh and warm. I ordered the “make it a 3 pack” tacos – I got a chicken, a ground beef and a fish taco. Chicken taco was great, ground beef was good but fish taco was a disappointment – too fishy tasting (sorry, I like a mild fish flavor). Rice and beans are extra. Our server was helpful and pleasant. Bright, open space with a big well done beach mural.

The staff was fantastic. Very welcoming and did a fantastic job of explaining the menu, including drinks. They have done a nice job with the place, decorating and giving it that “Tiki” vibe. Lots of TVs so you can watch sports, etc…. I just wish the food was better. Like many of the the reviewers, my wife and I found the food to be very bland. We went with a three plate taco platter and a burrito per the recommendations of the staff and shared everything. It was not bad, but it just didn’t have any character what-so-ever. No bite, nothing to set it apart. It just tasted like a bunch of decent quality, under seasoned ingredients thrown together in a tortilla. Salsa helped a tiny bit, but that is pretty bland as well. Hoping they kick it up a notch going forward.

Super excited that this place finally opened! We’ve been there twice. I love how they decorated the place, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I much appreciate that they have vegetarian options. I felt that some of the other reviews were a bit harsh, especially since they just opened. I feel the menu is good, and fair priced. I see that some complained they don’t have seafood, but I did see that they had fish tacos as a special yesterday, so they must have listened. The one thing that we agree with is that the food needs more flavoring. It all seems very fresh, which is much appreciated, but my husband did feel that the meat needed more seasoning in his tacos. More salt on the chips would be good too. I had the vegetarian taco, which was great, and had the taco salad the previous time. I think a dressing, or avocado salsa with the salad would be a great touch. Considering they just opened, I think they are doing great, and we will definitely be back. My kids loved their meals both times, and we were definitely all full when we left. The one last thing I would add is I’d love to see hot sauce on the table!
