Timberline Grill Menu – Black Hawk, CO

Type : Steak house

Location : Black Hawk, CO

Timberline Grill pays homage to the best Colorado craftsmanship. And its cuisine is equally impeccable. When you’re savoring one of our signature dishes, such as the Seafood Puttanesca or Alaska King Crab Legs, in front of a roaring fire, it’s easy to imagine that you’re high up in the Rockies, experiencing the deep peace that can only be found in an isolated cabin. One that serves a decadent set of deserts, that is.

This restaurant is so very worth the drive! The service staff is umcomparable! Everyone is wonderful! The food is beyond amazing! Whomever this chef is… hands down, absolutely perfect food every time! I would LOVE to learn from this chef!! Go, try it! It’s a little pricey but so very worth every penny! And the portions are HUGE!!

Maybe one of the worst dining experiences in my life. When you go to a fancy restaurant you expect to be wowed. We were very underwhelmed. The scallops were delicious! But the service was non existent. We were basically ignored for 2 hours. We had flag down a server, not ours, to tell them our lobster was cold. Then when it was returned warm it was so tough you could hardly cut it with a knife. When we finally got the attention of our server who seemed to make it a point to keep his back to us, and request the manager we waited at least 20 minutes for the manager who came and offered us nothing as compensation except to not charge us for the lobster. We have had better service at Chili’s, or pretty much anywhere.

One of the best meals we’ve had, and that’s saying something because we enjoy dining at Del Frisco’s, Ocean Prime, Monarch Chophouse, Capital Grille, etc. The Wagyu beef was on point, king crab legs were huge, bread was hot, cocktails were strong and beautifully poured. Ambiance is warm, dark, romantic with a very Western lodge sort of feel (Monarch Chophouse has a more modern/chic club vibe). But what made the experience a solid A+ was our server Katie; she made the whole experience fun, effortless, and enjoyable with her warmth, humor, speed, and knowledge of the menu offerings. Highly recommend!

The food was superb…in presentation and outstanding taste. For example, your Cesear salad is now at the list TOP of my best ever CS, which spans 30 years of dining!! Add in the service was outstanding!

Great food and great service. Prices are a little high but you get what you pay for. I had the bison tomahawk chop and it was phenomenal! It was a great cut of meat and perfectly cooked at medium rare. At the suggestion of our server, I added the lobster Oscar which was a great call. Others in my party had the prime rib and a couple of filets. Everyone was happy with what they had ordered. Our server, KK, was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. I will definitely ask to sit in his section whenever I go back.

My husband and I had dinner with two of our kids to celebrate B Day. Our Waitress was very unprofessional and slow. When we were in the middle of our dinner, a Waiter came to refill the water but mistakenly poured water into my Son’s Apple Juice. I told him immediately that he was pouring water into an apple juice but he barely understand English and he just left without a word with the cup so I thought he understood and went to get another apple juice but instead, he did not come back until we were done eating and our Waitress came and asked if we wanted an Apple Juice so we told her that the waiter poured water into the apple juice and she asked, do you want the juice? I said yes and she asked if its ok to charge us for it. I was like.. No! And she said that she wasnt sure if the manager will allow to give the juice at no charge but she can offer other juices at no charge so we just didnt want to make this a big issue so told her to just bring different juice but how she handled a very simple small issue was very unprofessional and kind of ruined our $400 dinner. We still tipped proper amount but i hope the Manager there will train them properly and not make customers upset over cheap juice when the food we ordered were almost $400. They poured water into the juice by mistake, then simply bring out the new juice and apologize. Simple as that. Not sure what’s so difficult.

We made reservations. When we arrived they sat us in the patio at a tiny table in the alleyway between the door and the server area.

I had a prime rib steak that was the worst Iv ever had. No flavor (except for the massive salt on the outsides) it was very tough and stringy. And it was 50 dollars! Iv had much better steaks at Texas road house. Would not recommend definitely over priced!
