As a newcomer to Griffin, I often listen to the locals’ recommendations for restaurants. That has been a good idea until I tried this place. I can almost feel my arteries hardening from the fat-laden fare. The fried chicken, two kinds of fried fish, hush puppies and other foods were too greasy. The heavily-salted green beans and other vegetables were over cooked. My fellow senior citizen diners definitely got their money’s worth, but quantity does not trump quality.

It’s been a while since I visited and my previous experiences were better. My expectations were not met on this visit. They use to have some of THE best fried chicken. This time it was not good at all. Was over cooked and dry. The dark meat was even dry. Vegetables were good though, especially the greens.

It is a perfect blend of great southern foods. Clean, neat, and adequately artistically decorated with old kitchen tools and lovely cute sayings on boards. Enjoyed immensely for my first time visit – thanks Tim’s!!!

Super great people who run it. They’ll cut up with you like you’re at a family reunion. Buffet has everything that your mom and aunts would bring. Banana pudding is definitely a blue ribbon at the county fair. I wish we had one up here in Calhoun. Every time I’m in Griffin I make it a point to bring someone there because you cannot find home cooking like that anywhere.

Love the food there ! I love rutabaga, their coleslaw is the best, and the only place I know where I can get the old fashioned cut of pully bone from chicken.. Super nice people work there.

I use to visit the Fayetteville location some years back. The one thing I love most about this place is the creamed corn aka fried corn to some. I love southern cooking and places like these are hard to find nowadays that give a taste of nostalgia. Only issue I had with my food could have a tad bit hotter than it was.

We had a nice afternoon drive down to a small town called Milner Georgia. We ate lunch at Tim’s light house buffet .

Got a to go play and it ended up costing me $26.60!. Never again I only got one piece of chicken and vegetables and a dessert no drink nothing. Very depressing. I was so hungry I went ahead and paid but honestly I wanted to walk out
