Tio’s is a great choice on the island if you’re feeling Mexican. Service is solid, food is solid. No complaints. We had the seafood burrito and the Caesar with blackened shrimp.

I wanted to love this. The decor is super cute. Homely feeling. I love how each table is different. Food taste good. But just good. Nothing popped out to us that made us want to go back again. The table we were seated at had a great view of the restaurant. The table was sticky. Off the bat turn off for us. Then there were issues with the staff and orders at other tables. Staff looked frustrated and I felt for them. The bathroom door handle does not lock. No sign saying the lock is broken and to use the top lock. A man walked in on me and my daughter. Not his fault. The door knob is not working. The bathroom was not as clean as expected. Lastly, the hours and days of the week. They are open every day about ten hours a day. When is there time to clean and staff to rest. We might go back or try the other location and see how it is.

Shrimp in the queso, worst strawberry daiquiri I have ever had, asked waiter about fixing drinks and apparently it’s supposed to be *mostly ice*. Tasted like a five year old put lemonade over shredded ice. Other than that the food was pretty good for Mexican food standards.

My husband and I stopped in for dinner the last night of our vacation and we were not disappointed. The food was phenomenal. The service was efficient and kind. If you’re looking for a restaurant on Hilton Head, check out Tio’s! We can’t wait to come back!

This was a good place to have a meal, nice drinks and playful atmosphere. The ground beef enchiladas I ordered hands down had the best green tomatillo sauce I have ever had the lemon and cilantro were just delightful explosions were in my mouth. The rice and beans the meal had as side were perfectly seasoned. So why only 3 stars? That is because when we walked in at 8:03pm we were told the kitchen was closing and had to order quick if we wanted to eat. I was happy we were seated, however when a restaurant closes at 9:30pm a whole hour and a half after I arrive; I still expect food to be served at 8:00pm. Also, even though it is at the end of the day I expect a hostess and servers not to act as though they are in a rush, no one was rude, just in a rush and seemed slightly annoyed we came in at 8:00pm. This place should be checked out because the food was great.

On our family vacay at Hilton head we grabbed lunch at Tio’s, customer service was great. Food was very fresh and you could actually see the chef making fresh food through the open kitchen. Ton of options for kids as well.

Taco Tuesday! On the recommendation of our check in clerk, we dropped in and had SUCH a great experience! Andrew, the manager, accommodated my unusual menu request without hesitation and our wonderful, personable and charming server, Kate, was never more than a minute away making sure everything was well. In addition, it was Rock and Roll Bingo night, so we had a blast playing and singing along while enjoying absolutely delicious tacos for $3 each! A wonderful experience, and, yes! I got the tee shirt!

Had a great experience at Tio’s. The waitress was on top of everything. Getting us refills on our drinks and asking how everything was. I had the chicken fajitas, they were fresh and tasty. My daughter had the nachos and they were huge and she enjoyed them.

We just happened to stop here for dinner in 2019 and found out there were fireworks at the cove the same evening. We enjoyed our food and service during that visit. So, four years later we made it back to HHI and decided to make that our new tradition. Tios and fireworks at the cove. Hubby ordered a shrimp burrito this time, and said the flavor was good just was cold, not even warm. Our son ordered the kids taco and enjoyed his food. He is a picky eater, so it must have been good. It’s also served on a frisbee to keep. How cool is that! I ordered the roasted pork dinner, and it was delish! It came with choice of rice, choice of beans, choice of bread/tortillas. It came with fried plantains as well which were a nice addition. Our waitress had a ton of tables in the outside patio area, but she kept up with everything quite well. We will be back on our next visit to HHI!
