Just a little hole in the wall, quite busy for a Friday afternoon as well! Very cozy and well updated place as well. Group of four of us sat on the patio outside and it is shaded and well spaced out. Food was FANTASTIC. Cheese curds were definitely the star of the show. Loved the Chicken Winner sandwich and my friends really enjoyed the Sconnie. Comes with a tasty fresh salad. Would definitely come back

Such a cute little spot in an amazing neighborhood. The building is old with lots of history, but looks very cute inside with eclectic wallpaper and unique chandeliers. The service is so incredibly friendly, you feel like family. They have fun scrambles and Benedicts for brunch, too! Can’t wait to come back.

Stop for a burger and beer beer was served at a 6 oz glass? I said this in a glass of wine can we put this in a pint glass sorry dont know the pricing…and it was 6dollars …wow… So the hell with that I ordered a mixed drink 7dollars food was okay… very pricey for what you get… Better straighten something out otherwise they wont be around much longer…

Well howdy there, partner! I recently stopped by the Tip Top Tavern in Madison and let me tell ya, it was a real hootenanny. The menu selection had a great variety of classic pub grub to choose from, and everything was downright delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a charming decor that made for a great dining experience. And the quality of service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure every customer was well taken care of. Highly recommend for a tasty meal and a cold beer in Madison!

I love the food and the people here. They have good deep fried walleye on Friday nights, and excellent hamburgers and veggies burgers, as well as other choices. My favorite time to eat here is when the patio is open!

Fantastic service, welcoming atmosphere and phenomenal food! I had the walleye with fries and homemade coleslaw, and the portion was HUGE and delicious (see hand in photo for scale)! I also had the cheese curds, and for only $6.50, there were at least 50 small yummy curds in the basket. Best cheese curds deal I’ve seen! This place is pure awesomeness!

Love this place! The food was great (mac & cheese w/mushrooms), the price was right, and the interior is bright and welcoming. Daniel was the only person working the front, and he was amazing! He greeted me as soon as I came in and was super attentive to everyone there, even after the bar started filling up. One of the friendliest bartenders I’ve ever had! 🙂 I’ll DEFINITELY be back next time I’m in town.

One of the best bars in Madison. Come for brunch, lunch, or dinner, you won’t be disappointed. For me, I usually turn to the Tip Top Burger or The Rooster sandwich. When the weather is nice, the patio is a lovely oasis. When the weather is not so nice, inside is so cozy and comfortable. Just a great spot.
