Good Tex Mex and pseudo traditional Mexican food. I live in Southern California so I eat a lot of Mexican food and this place can be proud. Good food. I had the red California Burrito, ordered spicy and it was. Mother had what is her usual that she loves, Shrimp Enchilada and it looked good and got her thumbs up. Casual and colorful atmosphere and VERY friendly and courteous staff. Recommend it.

Food was not very good, Chile relleno was just a pile of beef with a sliver of chile on it and a mountain of cheddar cheese. Enchiladas were underseasoned sauce and all. And I’m pretty sure my 20 oz margarita had no tequila whatsoever. Atmosphere and staff were nice however the drinks and food are not to my liking.

No one told me! I just stumbled over here while shopping at dollar store. I know I’ve been to every Mexican restaurant in Montgomery. The rice is perfect- beans perfect- I had stuffed poblano pepper and it was great as well- NO GREASE anywhere on this plate or in the food. Tortillas crisp and thin … waiting for sopapillos as I write . The best! I am a rice snob and they never have good rice – this is grand!

I want to like this place. I really do, but it’s hard to. The service is friendly and quick, but the food is average, and they constantly get my order wrong. I order a meal that comes with beans and rice. I ask for no rice, just beans, and I will get a meal with just rice. Or I order fish tacos and get shrimp tacos. This has happened more than once. Frustrating! Try it though. You may have different results.

Each time I come it’s great. Most recently I ate lunch, ordered the “Speedy Gonzales”. Around $7 and lives up the the name. It was fast and hot and the chips and salsa were excellent. Outdoor seating is great in fall.

I ordered 2 beef taco salads and a burrito Supreme. I only live 5 minutes away and it was soggy and wet before I got home. It seemed as if they didn’t drain the meat or the tomatoes…the first and last 30$ I’ll ever waste there again. The food was horrible..my husband said it was great for his compost though. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

When I first came here I was pleasantly impressed that the service was excellent, quick, and kind. The food was always fresh and hot even the salsa that got served with the chips. They have excellent service, food, and music!! I am very happy.

My wife had a hankering for Mexican food on Cinco de Mayo of all days. Knowing every Mexican restaurant would more than likely be backed up and it was around 7:30 pm. This was our second choice as our usual place had an hour and a half wait time. We got there everybody else was having the same issues but Tipico was well equipped for the influx of customers. We still had a wait time but it wasn’t an hour might have been 30 minutes. The food was great , fresh ingredients, presentation clean not sloppy. Long story short we’ve been won over and Tipico has made us be repeat customers.
