TLC is a great local spot if you are visiting URI. Located a few minutes from Boss Arena, TCL offers a wide variety of coffee flavors and home-made baked goods. John Wayne brew is a favorite darker roast and the blueberry scones are great.

Unimpressed. Looked like a good local spot. Honestly very sub par. Cold brew is good, but nothing special, maybe if you like flavored coffee (like smores) this place is better. There is also a surcharge of $1.50 if you ask for no ice in a drink, something I don’t think I’ve seen anywhere else.

Wow, SO MANY FLAVORS! If I lived near here I’d be a regular. My brother and I each ordered a medium iced beverage, and were given a pretty large plastic cup (20 oz each, maybe?) full of ice. We walked over to a large cooler fridge with something like 50 flavors of coffee and iced tea to choose from. Amazing. We hung out in a corner of the shop for a while, drinking our drinks and reading from the selection of books. I read the first part of a horror book about a bioengineered super predator based on a crocodile. My brother browsed a photo book of Italian yachts. Entertaining enough for us!

One of my local favs by URI, in W Kingston, RI. Awesome sandwiches, they give you big portions. Great coffee. A little slow, but they need some help, as most service places do these days…I love TLC.

Rhode Island coffee drinkers and brewers, you have just been put on notice with this gem ! I was at a lacrosse tournament at URI and I drove by this place I was like eh another coffee joint. The thing to do right now, but I was still like let me try it. Wow I am so glad that I did. This may be right there as a top player in the coffee game in all of Rhode Island and we know coffee. We travel 30 minutes for good coffee places! I am shocked that a place that amazing is hiding on Route 138. I also could not believe that the coffee tasted as fresh as it did, out of a jug sitting on a shelf. But it did! It was amazing. And I absolutely love that you could add regular milk, cream, almond milk or oatmilk without an extra charge. I hate when I get charged 80 cents for oatmilk and they put a splash in. Why on Earth is that 80 cents when you can get the gallon for 4 dollars and it takes 127 splashes to finish. I love the fact that they charge one price and you can add in your oatmilk and all your fixings for that price. And they don’t just offer blah fixings. We are talking about cocoa powder, cinnamon, sugar, raw sugar, liquid sugar and so much else. This is a must try in Rhode Island for all coffee lovers. Let’s go. I’ll drive !

My husband said it was the worst coffee he ever had and I did think my breakfast bagel wasn’t that great. But the atmosphere is so spot on and enjoyable I kind of didn’t care. My pistachio coffee tasted of banana which was strange, but even so it’s such a nice spot and convenient to picking up family from the Amtrak.

Not impressed. Drove by a couple times during our hockey tournament close by and looked forward to stopping in on our way out of town. Unless you know exactly what you want, I wouldn’t bother. I asked 1 question and tried to place an order – staff was impatient and rude so I walked out without finishing.

This is a great place for great coffee. They have an outstanding selection of non dairy milks! We enjoyed the soup and wraps. They have some nice snacks and muffins. The staff are delightful – quick and friendly! The inside seating is cozy and comfortable. They have ample outdoor seating surrounded by trees. This is the kind of place where locals hang out or meet up – a warm easy place to enjoy friends, excellent coffee and a pretty setting.
