8/23/23-Bad food that’s over priced. This review will be based just off the food and will not take into account the bad experience that my mom had when she went to the restaurant to get our food. First off the serving size we got was really small for the price. Even after I dumped the rice in with the food in the bowl, the bowl was only about 75% full. Then there was the taste. The food was super bland. Yes my mother got their non-spicy broth, but spice is not the only way to get flavor. Mine was the one with seafood, but the cook didn’t even dial up the seafood with complex flavor. Then of the sides even those were lack luster. Like let’s look at the kimchi. Yes it was spicy, but it was also bland at the same time. There wasn’t enough of the vinegar flavor. This was an example of how a spicy dish can be bland. They really need to work on their flavors. The best part of the meal was the fish cake, and that was even lack luster. Just skip this place. This shopping center has other food options that are so much better.

Great new restaurant in Aurora. The pricing was fair and the food was really freshly prepared. The soups were flavorful but wish there was more meat/seafood, lots of fresh tofu though. I liked that you could select the spice level from white, mild, medium, spicy for their soon tofu. Good for kids who can’t eat spicy and the stone bowls are the perfect size for 1 person. The seafood pancake was our favorite, light but crispy on the edges. The banchan was great, kimchi was perfect. We liked that they have steamed white and purple rice. The server was very attentive. Definitely will be going back!

I love the variety of menu. Tofu soups are full of flavor and spicy levels are just right at medium level for me. I can eat spicy food but I don’t think I will go above medium. Loved how they have fried fish and non-spicy food for my kids!

My friend and I came here for dinner, and we both got tofu. She got the seafood, and I got the kimchi tofu ( medium which was still kinda spicy). We also ordered LA Galbi and the spicy raw crab. The tofu and galbi was delicious, however the spicy raw crab was not fresh and they drenched it in marinade to mask it. Hence the 4 stars. Other than that the place is super nice and clean and staff service was very friendly and nice.

Great service and interior. The banchan is okay (they even have an octopus side dish) and it’s nice to have an option to drink hot water or cold water. The servers are very kind.

I thought the food was fantastic! I got the raw marinated crab (ganjang gejang) and the seafood soon. Everything was delicious and flavorful. I felt incredibly full after my visit as one person. All the little dishes that came out were fantastic too.

If you enjoy soft tofu this is definitely the place for you! The food is really flavorful and comes with a wide range of sides just like a traditional Korean meal should. My friends and I ordered a few appetizers with our entrées, tteokbeokki and pork cheese katsu, but I don’t think they tasted as good as the tofu entrées as they were a little bland in my opinion. The Soon Tofu with Mandu was absolutely delicious and I would definitely come back for that!

Originally only expected to find good soon tofu soups at the Tofu Story, but was awed by its wide selection of hard to find special traditional Korean plates, including spicy raw crabs and soy raw crabs. Tofu Story made their tofu in house and it was quite interesting to see how tofu was made through the window of their embedded tofu lab. Th selection and price of their soon tofu soups is very similar to the 1962 Tofu House right several blocks away, but personally found the softness and texture of their tofu and the taste of their soup to be better. Being able to choose the spicy level is a plus for sure. In addition to regular rices, they also have individual bowls of pressured cooked rice, which is surely a spectacle when the steam was let out, along with aroma of the rice. Here are their spicy stew with homemade tofu & beef soup and marinated beef short rib combo along with deep fried cheese pork katsu. Certainly did not disappoint.

Tofu Story is a great place to grab Soondabu (Korean soft tofu soup) and one of the few places that offer marinated raw crabs. All orders came with a variety of tasty banchan (small side dishes). We ordered the mushroom soondabu, and spicy marinated crab. Had a choice of white rice or purple rice as well with the entrees. A great place grab a meal with soju, and service was wonderful.
