And it’s been like this since we opened the doors of the first TOGO’S in San Jose, California back in 1971. We made the meatiest, most delectable sandwiches around. And people formed lines out the door, anxiously awaiting their turn for taste bud nirvana. Today, people still go above and beyond to get our sandwiches. Been here twice over the last couple of months. Ordered a Roast Beef/Turkey sandwich $10.49…and it came with 1 thin slice of Roast Beef and 1 thin slice of Turkey. Also ordered a Hot Pastrami with 1 slice of meat as well. What a joke! Felt like we were eating bread sandwiches! This location did have pretty good sandwiches awhile ago, but in the last couple of months just awful. Do not recommend at all.

This location needs some serious attention when it comes to its employees. I have been going to togos for over 25 years and am a former employee so I know the routine as far as what’s expected and how to treat customers. There is a 1 in 5 chance that they actually get my sandwich made correctly so I don’t ever order ahead anymore. Now that I come in to the store physically to order, the two women up at the front are having personal conversations which honestly don’t bother me too much but the older African American lady does not have good customer service! She told me that I was “making it difficult” by ordering the sandwich the way I order it, are you kidding?! She sounded very bothered that she was even having the conversation. I will no longer be spending my money here since nobody knows how to follow simple directions or how to treat customers.

Called in a sandwich order the other day and the young man on the phone was confident and helpful, which made me feel good about the decision to call. When I arrived I went to the call-in counter at the front (there was a line of 4-5 people waiting to order), and the same guy recognized me, worked me in to his work flow, and sent me on my way in short order. A very positive experience – wish I had his name so I could call him out, but good job hiring him.

3 people making sandwiches. We were second in line. 4 people behind us. The whole restaurant was empty by the time we got our sandwiches. Terrible service. Bread cut bad so warm sandwich broke out of bottom.

I walk in the door and I’m immediately greeted by Keith. He’s got the biggest smile on his face and asks me, “what would you like”. I ordered the pastrami cheesesteak and asked Keith if he liked his job, he said, I Love My Job. It shows. Got my sandwich and to my surprise, it was damn good. I give you 5 stars for your staff member and the great food.

I really enjoy Togo’s Sandwiches. They are much heartier and flavorful than other sandwich chains. If there’s one thing I would complain about this particular location, it’s that they don’t get their online orders correct every time. Still, good service and well made sandwiches.

This location lacks consistency. Sometimes the order is made correctly and other times made incorrectly. Today, There was a 30 minute wait to complete an online order. my husband arrives to pick it up and they haven’t even started making the sandwiches. My phone number is listed on the order. A simple phone call to tell me my order wouldn’t be ready on time would’ve been appreciated. Perhaps more training is needed on customer service.
