Stopped here on a weekend trying to find good Japanese food in the area, it was rather empty in the afternoon, just a few other families, we were able to sit anywhere which was nice, I ordered the spicy Kani salad , unagi don, and a spicy tuna roll , Kani salad came out quick, seemed alright, wasn’t spicy though, then my miso soup that came with the entree came, it wasn’t barely hot so I requested it be heated up , after I tried it , it was rather bland, then the entree came out and the spicy tuna roll, the spicy tuna roll hardly had any spicy tuna in it, and didn’t have much flavors honestly, and the texture was kind of mushy, I think the rice might have been older perhaps, now onto the unagi don (eel rice bowl) , it tasted ok but I felt they hardly put any eel in my opinion and the peices they did put were very very thin , and it was somewhat underwhelming. The green tea I ordered had a nice presentation but the problem with a metal cup is it conducts heat alot so it’s uncomfortable to pick up, All in all I think it was just ok, the waiter was very nice though and that was good, nothing super special- I’ll have to keep searching.

Superb. My soul is nourished. Had the New Jersey mussels, beef udon soup, and a blue moon. Delicious. Affordable too; would’ve been sub $30 including tax and tip without the beer. Plus soft bossa nova music in the background *chef’s kiss* A wonderful pick me up after a somewhat disappointing day.

9.3/10. A fantastic place to dine. The food was delicious, with perfectly composed flavors. Sushi was great, udon was amazing, and appetizers delightful. Also impressed by the waiter’s ability to put up with me and my friends high assess. Would definitely go again for dinner.

This place is incredible! We were visiting Santa Fe and this place blew us away. The food portions are perfect and the food was delivered no later than 10 minutes after ordering. Not to mention that the interior was very pleasant. The bathroom was also clean

The service was quick and attentive, it was quiet and relaxing. However, the food was not that great. The tempura was greasy, sushi was gummy, and the chicken fried rice had an ‘off’ taste to it. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, if you’re just hungry and looking for some food, this is your place but it’s not worth five stars.

Really nice, relaxing atmosphere! Food was delicious! Good customer service. Jasmine tea tasted wonderful, and the dessert! I got the Black sesame Japanese Style Monte Blanc because they were out of the green tea. It was so good, and beautifully presented! Just the right hint of sweetness! This is a must try…would definitely be a hang out for me if I lived in Santa Fe.

Went around lunch time with my grandmother. We were the only people dining in. When we enter Tokyo cafe the floor was SOO STICKY!! Every little step our shoes made a sticky sound . The booth we were sat at was occupied by flies. The flies would not leave us alone. We mentioned that to our waitress multiple times but she did not suggest to move us or offer to help. *I recommend bringing your own fly swatter while you eat* we didn’t wait long for our meal, we got started off with miso soup and vegetables tempura and our food came shortly after. It was really hard to enjoy our meal because of the non-stop constant bugs of the flies trying to land on our food and it was just tiring swatting them. I don’t know what the hype is about the dishes I’ve saw on Google about this restaurant… We had a total different experience.. Our lunch was bland. Usually don’t see any salt or peppers at any japanese restaurant because flavors is on point but I felt like a lot of the components in our main dish didn’t have taste. Maybe we didn’t came on their good days? I would like to retry this restaurant at a different time when it’s most busy. Hopefully by then, my posted review will change but for now it is what it is.

The sushi was really good, and they have good Eel sauce. Anything fried in theor tempura is A+. Only one star removed because of their Udon. Bland broth and no fishcake or mushroom. The staff was great tho. They listened to our concerns and offered solutions.
