I’ve been missing Japanese food since returning to the states, so I dropped by for lunch at Toyko and was pleased. The veggies were super fresh, with the napa cabbage having just the right amount of crunch. The scallops were cooked perfectly. Very polite waitstaff, our server was wonderful.

A great place for a business meeting, a intimate date, or a entertaining night out with the family. The choices of ingredients, dishes, and drinks are superb. The servers are very friendly and helpful in decision making for pickier people. The front displays as a hidden gem but the interior is a vastly more vibrant and authentic experience waiting for you. I’d recommend having a reservation for weekend nights. Honestly blown away by the egg drop soup and house salad appetizers.

Had a 7:30 reservation on 5/5/23. Took forever to be greeted and seated, as well as to get a glass of water. Main meals came out before our appetizers (which were forgotten about until we finished our main meal). One meal came in three parts, two parts coming 30 min apart. Food was subpar and pork belly tasted burnt, and we were not given a chance to order dessert before being handed the bill. Only good part of the night was the edamame that came just before we left. Was supposed to be a good anniversary dinner, and ended up being a disappointment

Stopped in for lunch. Seating was available at four small tables in a small room off of the main dinner area. We both ordered off the menu- vegetable stir fry with choice of protein. It was fresh, and came with rice, reasonably priced.

This place was simple and cute all the way from the exterior to the fish kite banners on the wall to the privacy cloths hung in between each room. As for food, I can only speak for the ramen this time, but both the spicy shoyu and tonkatsu shio were delicious. The noodles were perfectly chewy and able to grab the thicc soup. The seasoned egg was delightful and creamy. The char siu seemed to be braised and then charred on the top. It melted so nicely in the mouth! Both broths tasted similar, but the spicy one was reminiscent of almost (just the tiniest bit) a curry broth because it was so thick, creamy and spicy. Overall, we would definitely come again for the ramen. Plus, they seem to have a great cocktail/special drink selection as well as sake and beer. So glad we stopped by before returning to Menomonie!
