I love this place. We go quite often when craving sushi. I love that its a small, locally-owned establishment. The sushi itself has always been great, and I’d compare the quality to those much higher-priced options downtown. The vibe isn’t as loungey as the others, but rather a quiet and comfortable restaurant. They do seem to be short-staffed so waits can happen, but they try to make up for it where they can and it’s well worth it.

Never thought I’d find the best Japanese cuisine in Wisconsin… boy, was I wrong! This place is top notch! Don’t blink, you might just miss it. The restaurant operates right out of a home like a few others in the area, which feels very cozy.

Visited for a weekend date night recently. The restaurant is in a house and looks unassuming from the outside. Interior was nice, although a small child was running around the restaurant which was disruptive.

BEST sushi in Madison to date. It’s comparable to San Francisco Bay’s better establishments, and quite reasonable on price regardless of location. We’ll be coming back regularly as we visit.

We ordered take out from this place and overall it was pretty good. I ordered chicken yakisoba and it was flavorful but overall was dry, which I would give a 4/5. The salad was good though that came with it. However, I ordered the spicy tuna roll and it was amazing. One of the best I’ve had. 5/5. I wasn’t expecting it to be a restaurant that is basically inside a house but inside is much larger than it looks and would be a good place to go in and eat. The customer service was great as everyone was very friendly. Overall I’d definitely go back for the sushi and possibly for the noodles.

The sushi was average, the California roll was tasty, and the hot sake was not very good. Their prices seem average for the area. The service could have been better, but they seemed a little short on servers.

Wife and I came here for a Sunday night dinner with 2 friends. The place wasn’t busy, had a bit of a run down, “this building used to be a house they turned into a restaurant” feel to it, but the food, service, and prices were excellent. As of this writing, $5.50 for simple sushi rolls is pretty great. The range of sushi prices goes up to $17 or so for only a few of their most complicated rolls, with the average probably around $11 or so. My non-sushi-eating friends enjoyed their teriyaki pork dish as well, and we shared a tasty $8 pitcher of hot sake.

Out of this world good! We’ve been here a few times now, and the food is just to die for. Everything comes out beautifully plated and shockingly fast, and everything I’ve had is delicious down to the last bite. It’s such an adorable spot — shops in houses are my favorite, and this one is absolutely lovely. A great spot for any occasion!
