It’s true, the hole-in-the-wall is usually your safest bet for authentic! A very calm atmosphere, quick service and the chef was extremely focused on his work. The food was great, but a little overpriced for the quantity provided (maybe not for the area but I’m from out of town). The only other “complaint” I have is that a little background music would have made for better ambiance, as well as some more authentic desert options (would have loved some taiyaki or even real mochi) but I’d say go support this place!!! It was very slow, I believe I was the only customer in the restaurant, and the food was too good for that to be the case.

Phenomenal restaurant!! The ambience is extremely welcoming and the staff is friendly as ever. I ordered a Volcano Roll and chicken yaki soba and both orders came out promptly. Both the roll and the entree were prepared very well and were delicious! I highly recommend Tokyo Sushi!

Came here a long time ago. The sushi was great. Last night went with a non- sushi friend. We ordered the teriyaki chicken. The chicken was pounded flat and dry as could be. Looking at the sushi menu, $13 for a 6 piece roll? Do yourself a favor and drive to Oushi Sushi in creve coeur. You’ll be glad you did.
