Oyakodonburi was extremely chili pepper spicy n needed to be returned. Egg was almost non-existent. We asked for item to be credited but instead was re-done n charged for it.

Tempura is incredible- light and crunchy, most importantly not greasy either. Not sure what they cook it in but very tasty. The bento box lunch things are large and filling, I’ll definitely come back!

Food is still consistently good. We decided to dine in and was disappointed. They no longer offer the tsukemono (salted cabbage) before your meal. No tofu in miso soup. ONE shrimp with tempura mix, but they try to overcompensate with larger slice of zucchini and eggplant. Teishoku options are over $20. I noticed too they no longer put gobo (burdock) in their pork tofu. We probably won’t be going back there anytime soon as this place is just not the same.

This is a very local little dive. Staff was very kind and friendly. The food was decent and did have large portions, which we appreciated. We couldn’t even finish the large amount of food! It was a little hard to find, because it is in a very unsuspecting strip mall.

Authentic Japanese feel. Don’t be scared to actually eat the miso by bringing the bowl to your mouth, and use the bowl provided on top for your rice. The guests are friendly and so is the staff.
