I Had an opportunity to take my dad and son to Tokyo Wako for Father’s day. We had a great time. The service was first rate, the food was prepared fast and was delicious. Cara, the bartender, makes a great Mojito. What’s really enjoyable is the overall experience. I definitely recommend Tokyo Wako.

Great experience and outstanding food. The hospitality from the beginning needs to be addressed. The host wasn’t very welcoming and the server we had was just ok. No smile, no conversation whatsoever. I know they work for tips, but tips isn’t automatic. First the server delivered us our sushi and she placed it so hard on the table that the sushi lost its appearance. She did apologize, but then it took her awhile for her to refill our drinks. The chef was outstanding. Humorous and welcoming. I would go back again, but hopefully the hospitality will be better. We are paying an average of $50 a person, so let’s work on it.

From the beginning to the end, our experience here was GREAT! In making the reservation, the hostess over the phone was so helpful and patient as she answered all my questions with no hesitation. We were here to celebrate my Mom’s 70th birthday and our experience was wonderfull All thanks to our AMAZING Chef Adaml Adam was very entertaining and attentive to everyone’s needs, as we had a couple of picky eaters in our party, LoL Adam made sure that everyone was taken care of and especially my Mom! He is definitely a people person, very witty and his personality, a breath of fresh air. He definitely is the Chef to ask for when visiting the Ontario location. The food was so good, the steak and shrimp was cooked to perfection. Thank you Adam for making my Mom’s 70th Birthday Celebration so memorable and so much fun!

I usually try to leave positive reviews, but we had a pretty bad experience when my group ate here on 7/1/23. We had a reservation, and even though we arrived early, we were not seated until 10 minutes after the reservation. I usually find this to be acceptable, but then we still had to wait another 10 minutes to order drinks and apps. It took a few minutes to receive the drinks. Another party arrived at our table 20 minutes after we had been seated. It almost felt like they were delaying service until another group arrived. Our order was taken about 5 minutes after the other group was seated, so we had to wait 35 minutes to order. Our apps arrived at the table at the same time as the other party, even though we ordered 10 to 15 minutes before their order was taken. Then we had to wait another 20 for a chef to arrive at our table. The food was okay, but I would not say it was great. All that being said, our chef Adam and server Andrew were awesome. They did their best to improve our experience.

Came here tonight to celebrate my nephews birthday and the 5 stars are truly for our Chef & Server they were both amazing! We had Chef Don and he put on such a good show, he was funny, lighthearted and very accommodating as two people in our party had a shellfish allergy. The food was tasty and seasoned well. Our sever (who’s name I forgot) was so awesome he was a younger gentleman with glasses. He was super nice and attentive and even gave us recommendations on food. I have to say the host and other staff does need to improve, she was not very welcoming and was passive aggressive when my husband asked how long the wait was for the table to be ready, but we just ignored it and didn’t let that affect our night. Also, upon arrival there was nobody up front but i did see staff walk past and they didn’t at least acknowledge us and say “we’ll be right with you” or “we’ll get the host for you; just a moment”. All they did was stare as they walked past? Okay lol. Other than that It was a good time, and I’d probably only come back to have Chef Don as our chef again & the server too. Dealing with the host and other staff honestly does turn me away though. I’d suggest they bring some hosts with more welcoming energy, and better communication and customer service, that’s the 1st impression of the restaurant, and so far from other reviews I can agree that there’s been issues with some staff there. Again thank you to Chef Don and our sever (sorry I forgot your name) you guys made our night great!

Had dinner here tonight with the wife and kids. First off, the restaurant has a well designed layout it’s nicely decorated. Our waiter and cook were polite friendly and very sociable. It was a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and the food and drinks were great. A little pricey but well worth it.

Sorry to say this was a disappointment. The chef we had was not really interested in cooking. He was just going through the motions. We love Japanese steak house, Ichiban, places and have enjoyed experience from coast to coast. Most have very enthusiastic chefs that love what they do. This guy was just not that person. The food was overcooked and dry. The seasoning was not even close to correct. I gave the atmosphere 1 star because the restrooms where filthy. The manager needs to re evaluate what he is doing.

Food and service is great! But Only the Teppan tables were open. My date and I wanted a more intimate setting so we asked for a booth and they abliged. That was really cool of them. But they closed at 9pm on a Friday which was a bummer when we got there at 8.
