Driving by. Wanted to stop at a local restaurant. Found the perfect spot. Wasn’t sure if there was dine in at location. Manager came to car invited us in to sit in and eat lunch. Had the gyro special was delicious. Had an old school fast food feel to the place. Food was exactly what you’d expect from the place. Maybe slightly above average americana.

The food was served fast and hot. The servers gave us nice compliments. There was plenty of room on comfortable seats. The atmosphere was of the cool old baseball theme. Tom and Jerry’s best describes the cool old theme.

As an NIU alum, I’ve been going here forever. Always stop in when I am passing through DeKalb. Good value for the dollar. Beef sandwiches, burgers, fried food, gyros. I always get the gyro and fries. For a fast food grill you can’t go wrong.

The owner has always been awesome to me and Mehgan. The quality of food is unbelievable for a hotdog in gyro joint. For a quick bite to eat, I would definitely recommend Tom and Jerry’s. I like the euro on a pita, and I like it grilled so it’s well done. I also like their salads and subs. Really you can’t go wrong here.

I have an obsession with gyros and I’ve been wanting to try there’s for awhile now, finally was able to today. My gf got the Italian beef baked with mozzarella and I of course got the monster gyro. By no means did the gyro taste bad, but it’s probably the second worse gyro I e ever had, the worst was a Greek place in lisle on maple and 53, there’s was inedible. Back to Tom and Jerry’s though, the sauce was nothing special and the gyro meat seemed like a lesser grade, the after taste burps were gross. I thought the Italian beef was ok, seemed more like lunch then it did Italian beef, my girlfriend didn’t like it at all. As far as the fries go, I could tell just by how they looked, they weren’t gonna be very good. It’s hard to find a gyro place that has really good fries as well though, so can’t knock them for that. Unless they decide to switch to a higher grade gyro meat that’s 100% beef instead of the beef lamb mix, i will never be going back there again, low quality food over priced.

Italian beef and Reuben sandwich. Both excellent. Fries were so so. Had a bad experience last time at their other location and left a poor review. This time a good experience so I owed them a good review and they earned it.

Not the best place in town to eat but they close super late and they serve good gyros! It comes with a filling pita, lots of onions, tomatoes and a nice yogurt on top! Enjoy it while you’re visiting there. The staff are nice and do their best to prepare the meals super quick. I like their Chicago style hot dogs as well.

I work here so my review may be biased but the food actually is pretty good. If I had one complaint it would be with the fries, salt doesn’t stick very well to them so I usually have to add chili or a side of au jus to give them flavor. The cheese curds are fantastic, I actually prefer them over Culver’s because these are all mozzarella as oppressed to a 50/50 mix with cheddar. I don’t really care for gyro meat so I can’t say much for it except it does taste good, it’s a commonly used brand, so to me, gyros tastes the same everywhere. I don’t use condiments so I honestly can’t say how they are when they have the toppings but from what i hear it’s pretty good. Also, the garlic beef wrap may possibly be the best culinary invention ever.
