My husband picked up dinner. Our first taste of Tommy’s. Heard what great food they served. We had ham, sausage and brisket with potato salad and red beans. Absolutely best red beans ever. Meat had no smoke flavor or any flavor Potato salad was OK. $$.

Went in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. We tried the brisket, sausage, and turkey. All were good, with the brisket being the standout meat. Sides we had were fries, beans, and a really good creamed corn with jalepenos- just a touch of spice without being too much. I will definitely be back!

Tommy’s BBQ is top shelf. I have been to several Texas’ top award winning BBQ Pits but Tommy has them beat. Family owned and operated they serve a great meal. I’ve been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. In my humble but accurate opinion they are number ONE in the Lone Star State.

The food has always tasted good, but the customer service is absolutely awful. The employees, including the owner, are very rude to each other and repeatedly yell in front of many customers. It’s not a welcoming environment from the moment I walk into the place, and very disturbing to sit down and eat with all of the yelling that goes on. I have to repeat myself multiple times on what I want even if they Relay the information back to me because they kept forgetting. Young employee washing dishes in the back, who was very visible to all customers, had a cigarette tucked behind his ear, and to me, that isn’t sanitary one bit. The food is not good enough to outweigh the bickering that goes on each time I order food from there. It is very unpleasant having to get anxiety from all of their bickering, when I just wanted a good plate of food.

The best bbq in gun barrel city!! Everything great .the loaded baked potato stuffed with any meat of your choice sasuage, turkey, brisket, hotlinks, ham. Great sandwickes as well. Not to mention some of the best ribs i ever eat. Everything is homemade. Including some of the best you can get. Friendly service. I eat ther at lest 4 times a week

It is a bit of a dive, but they habe great ribs! The cabbage as great, as is the cream corn. My mother has cilliacs and is allergic to wheat/gluten and has no problem with these items here.
