My brother and I just ordered from this place and we were both very disappointed. His shrimp fried rice wasn’t even thoroughly cooked and the shrimp felt like they were just tossed into a microwave. My boneless spare ribs were charred and dry; not how they usually are soft and juicy. Overall, not satisfied in the slightest. Wish we could get a refund from this restaurant but I’m not even going to bother.

I live in the delivery area of this restaurant and have been using it for probably 20 years now. Out of all the local Chinese restaurants, it was always my favorite. However, lately, the quality of the food has really gone downhill. It seems like more and more often anything fried is fried to the point where it is dried out and almost leathery inside. I received chicken fingers that were fried so dark the outside looked like leather and the inside was just completely dried out. Same with true with the egg rolls, looks like they had been left in the fryer for three extra cycles. The other thing that bothers me is this restaurant has always had free delivery if you live within a certain radius. They have ended that and now not only do you have to pay for delivery, but they request a tip for the delivery driver. Nope. It’s one or the other. If you deliver for free and I’m satisfied with the service, I will tip as I always have. But if I have to pay for delivery, that is the tip. They raised their prices Quite a bit recently which I understand because everything has gone up, but at the same time their prices went up the quality went down. I’m hoping it’s temporary because they were always such a good restaurant. Because it is authentic Chinese, the employees speak and understand very little English so it’s been very hard for me to tell them that the fried items have been way overcooked. I’m sure I’ll try it again and give them a shot again, but the last two orders were overcooked so much they were mostly inedible

I was in town for business, and craving for Chinese food. Tong sing is by far the best in southington/Plainville area. The Service is attentive and food is phenomenal. Will definitely return here next time.

Their food was pretty good, but their service was awful. We waited an hour for delivery and found we were missing some of our order. Actually took the time to call and ask them about it and instead of honoring what we ordered and making their customer happy, the woman argued on the phone with us about a $10 difference and wasted my time. We won’t be ordering here anymore. Check your delivery orders before they leave

Since new owners took over. Food is not the same meat tough rice dry and egg roll and chicken fingers have a greasy. Oily taste. Not happy. Gave them three tries figured they are new gave them the benefit of the doubt. But not satisfied .tried to. give them feed back as a customer. I’ve always got my Chinese food from here since moving to Plainville. Not greasy or overly salty and I love their Wanton soup! However the staff could be more friendly. I’ve never been met with a friendly voice on the phone or a smile when walking in.

Never had a problem before, but tonight ordered fried dumplings. Got steamed dumplings called to complain was told they would fix it. That never happened. Very unprofessional. Won’t be back.
