Foods are yummy and flavorful, green tea salad is creative but I really couldn’t taste any green tea flavor. Noodle was good, very flavorful and totally covered by the sauce. But the potion is a little bit small. They were good, just not very impressive.

Ummm, so this is best food I’ve ever had? In all of my 27 years on this earth, I’ve tried quite a few dishes. I’ve been abroad to Europe and south east Asia. I lived in Atlanta for many years and tried all sorts of international cuisines there as well. No food has topped this though, this food is heavenly.

Fasting morning for Dr appointment had me ready for food 🙂 Never had Burmese before and this place was close to an appointment so decided to give it a shot. I am happy to report the Samosa and Garlic Noodle w/tofu and veggie broth cup has inspired me to continue my journey of discovery. The service, chill vibe & house music, atmosphere, and the food are stellar. I can not wait to bring my family here!

Everything we ordered was amazing but I fell in love with the Mango Chicken! Would definitely recommend it! The atmosphere was nice. It’s a bit small but it wasn’t crowded when we went so it wasn’t an issue. The robot delivering your food was cute.

I live in Seattle but I was down in Portland for a weekend and my friend recommended Burma Joy so we went there for dinner. The food is amazing, great service and robots serve you your food and drinks! The Burmese tea with coconut milk (I’m non-dairy) is so delicious and the best milk tea I’ve ever had! I’m also happy they even have a non-dairy option. My friend and I ordered the tea leaf salad, beef curry and a noodle soup dish. The salad was so good! The curry was my favorite, although a little on the saltier side. However, that did not deter me from going back the next night for dinner again by myself, in which I tried the tea leaf rice and tea leaf chicken curry. Again, the curry was a bit too salty for me but on my third visit (a different weekend), I ordered the coconut beef curry and that was a great balance of flavors. The coconut jelly dessert is also delicious.

Super cute atmosphere and friendly staff. I had the tofu khao soi and it was rich, flavorful, and super filling. My mom got the kyay oh and she loved it! We also had the chickpea tofu tots, which were good, but not a must have. I’ll be thinking about the khao soi for a looong time

Went here on a weekday night for dinner looking at the reviews. I had always wanted to try Burmese cuisine and gave this one a try! Was not disappointed but not sure if I would visit again.

Tastes good but WAY overpriced. Here’s a picture of the TINY $20 mango salad with an old iPhone for scale. Absurd. The green tea leaf salad is yummy but you’re also paying $20 for lettuce and a few nuts.

Full disclosure, I never ate Burmese food before this but I loved it. To the uninitiated like myself, it struck me as somewhere between Thai and Indian cuisine (makes sense geographically). The decor was amazing, perfect atmosphere and not overcrowded when we went for an early dinner.
