I’ve been coming to Topo (and Pandan Room) for a few years now and always enjoy my visits. The vegan yellow curry soup bowl is consistently very tasty and filling! I like the number of dishes that can be made vegan upon request. There are definitely more vegan options at Pandan Room (the sister restaurant up the street), but there are still good options here. Today the service was a little slow, but generally it’s been good. Overall I really enjoy it here and will continue to come 🙂

TOPO(the old post office) is a delicious spot to eat at. Entering the restaurant the vibe was diner like which was homey to NJ. When we were seated the waitress scrubbed our table which felt clean until it got sticky. I just wish it was a bit more smooth. Ordering drinks was good but warning no free refills. I got water, and you can actually get it at the table. They have a small spout which I find handy. We ordered the Topo sampler as an app which consisted of egg rolls, spring rolls, tarp egg loaf and dumplings. The sauces complemented the app very well and would order again. As an entree I ordered the Shrimp Clay Pot which was very fresh with all the vegetables. The shrimp and glass noodles were very hot, temperature wise. While that was cooling off I put the sauce on the side of rice for taste. Absolutely amazing, it was not greasy and caramelized very nice. I wish the Clay Pot dish was served in a Clay Pot. The metal pot was very aesthetic tho. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate rum cake but the waitress served us the crème brûlée. She must’ve forgot, since she was the only waitress. The crème brûlée wasn’t typical tho. The top didn’t crack like glass and the inside was not like a flan but more of a custard. It was good otherwise. We also ordered the strawberry sticky rice too. This dessert was good since there was not too much sugar. Seeing pink rice was surprising. While we were waiting for the check, my seats were moving tho. The next table over was getting out and pushed the whole seat. The seats are not grounded to the floor. It would be nice next time if they were grounded. Overall the experience was good and would come back next time I am in Hackettstown

Take out on 8/18. Big fan of this restaurant. Eaten here a dozen times. Tonight something was different, it was awful. Fragrase basil with calamari had a stinky fish smell, sauce was bland, and veggies seemed old. Going to take a break from this place for awhile.

My husband and I grabbed a table outside since the A C. was too cold. The pork spring rolls tasted standard, couldn’t tell it was pork. It came with two sauces- one was heavy on fish sauce and the other had a honey mustard taste (that one was good). He ordered the Vietnamese stew (it’s like a curry) and I had the lemongrass chicken dumpling pho (anise was strong- I love it). We enjoyed both of our dishes and the server was attentive. We will probably be back to try more.

Service was really slow. We had rather diluted coffees and asked for waters multiple times. They were out of one dish and we didn’t find out until right before our food came to the table instead of being told upfront. Overall food was still great!

Just left this place and I’ll definitely be back! Waitress was friendly and funny! The food was excellent! Brisket ramen, Clay pot with pork, yellow rice curry with chicken and rolls assortment. Plus I tried both coffees- nice!

Just moved from out of the area and from living in my previous area, Vietnamese has become my favorite cuisine. They didn’t have what I’m used to, which is bun tom nuong. The fact that they didn’t have that was disappointing since that’s a staple at the restaurants I grew used to. Service was VERY slow, even down to asking if I wanted a drink when I first arrived. The Thai boba tea was kind of weird. It was warm, and didn’t have a good amount of 1/2 and 1/2, or milk. Definitely not what I’m used to. I was happy with the pho, and the summer rolls, but service was no good. They may have been understaffed, and that’s not their fault really…. I’ll most likely leave an update if service is better next time I visit. Theres literally only 2 Vietnamese restaurants in the area, so I will most likely visit again.

Quaint restaurant. Variety food selection on the menu which is very different from other Vietnamese restaurant. They serve waffles. I was disappointed with the vietnamese ice coffee. It was too weak for people who loves strong coffee. Food was okay. They have kids menu. Restroom does not have a changing station for baby. Ordered beef clay pot, chicken chow fun, and strawberry ice cream waffle. There is a water spout on the wall at every table to refill your own tap water.

Ordered the Fried Egg Noodle and some other things (order number 577976923 ) and found a cockroach (dead) buried in the noodles. Was just about to share some of the order with my toddler – glad I found it first.
