Gave this place 2 tries. Both times the food was hot and fresh and was fast. The lady at the front is nice as well. The taste of the food on the other hand was below average both times. Lo mein is flavorless, orange chicken was too strong and the texture of the chicken was discusting.

Used to be a decent place to get Chinese food. But not anymore. Fried rice is always dry and without flavor. Other entrees are covered with so much sauce, you can barely make out the primary product.

Had the general’s chicken combo plate with chicken fried rice. General’s chicken is spicy and a wee bit gummy (flavor stays on palette). Chicken fried rice not made with soy sauce, more likely seasoned with saffron. But an interesting change of direction. Great Wall is better, but they are closed on Saturday.

I have to travel 65 miles one way to get here so whenever I have to be in Statesboro for business I’m likely to get carryout from here. My only criticism is sometimes the chicken appetizers can be a bit too salty and the egg rolls a little gummy.

They applied a tip to the receipt after checking out. I did not leave a tip on my card I put cash in the tip jar. They added $5 for themselves and I noticed it once it stopped pending on my account. This is unacceptable and I WILL NOT give them my business anymore!!!
