A long time ago, in the bustling town of Austin, Texas, a man named Mike Rypka bought a food trailer and a red Vespa. His dream? To start a taco joint. Like all great chefs, he filled his first menu with more experiments than meals — and thanks to some trips around town on his Vespa, and overheard iterations of Damn, these tacos are good! at the food trailer, it was declared a hit.
The rest is history. Well, history in-the-making.

I am in love with Torchys tacos. My only complaint is that they aren’t in the state where I live yet! I always have to stop in when I visit Fayetteville. Cheese dip is amazing, tacos offer a lot of diverse options and gluten free with corn tortillas, packed with flavor and made to order.

Well in 5 months since our last visit idk what has happened but damn, we will not be coming back. As soon as we walked through the south facing door we were met with a pile of trash, over flowing it’s container, waitress/hostess/cashier was less than professional, but what can you expect, she was like barely legal to drive. We got our food, left, we are less than 10 mins away, got home, food is cold, looks like it was someone’s returned order. Absolutely mortified, will not return….

The food is good but a little bit pricey. It would get five stars if it was a couple dollars less expensive. I have the chicken and beef kind of fajita deal both were very very good. In addition to the food they’ve got to decent selection of beer on tap or in the bottle. Mexican for lunch accompanied by a craft beverage out on the patio on a beautiful day…. definitely a place to give a try

Such a great selection and range of tacos to choose from! We had 3 different tacos and weren’t disappointed in any of them! Great location and plenty of seating – both inside and out. The patio is huge and the atmosphere is nice. Wait staff seemed really nice.

Very overpriced tacos with weird combinations of flavors. $7-8 for one taco with no sides or drink is expensive. The atmosphere was good outside but there was a huge university girls soriety group so people were standing in line for 30-45 minutes to order food.
