It’s a nice Izakaya restaurant! However, the wait time of the dishes were longer than we expected. To start with people usually select a few skewers and then order more and more dishes, so to not waist your time I recommend you to order everything at once.

I was worried about those reviews, but the service turns out to be awesome, the waiter keeps refilling my hot water multiple times , and this is the only restaurant in Hawai’i that do this.

The waitress is super nice. It’s a bit noisy but super fun! We love their oden than the grills. The soup of oden is so fresh and delicious. They also sell the Japanese rice ($18/2kg) that we look for!

Do not come to this place without a reservation you will not get seated. I have been lucky that I was able to make a reservation the two times I have come to Honolulu. Everything I have tried here has been pretty good.

Very local Japanese izakaya! It’s like being in Japan. The food was delicious but limited, many popular items were sold out early so didn’t have many options. It would be great if we could have more different dishes! And fried tofu was my favorite.

Starting off with this is a very small restaurant. Don’t expect to come here with big parties or without reservations. The price here is on the expensive side, this was our most expensive food outing on our trip. That being said they have authentic and fusion style Japanese izakaya goods. Drinks are great and the atmosphere reminds me greatly of Japan. You’ll see lots of local Japanese people hang out, watch baseball and drink the night away. We tried almost everything on the menu and were wonderfully pleased even though we sat outside on a picnic able in some slight winds.

Most ARROGANT AND AGGRESSIVE place in Honolulu.

Had a reservation, because I came here with large 13 people party for wedding rehearsal dinner. Loud and straightforward customer service 🙂 Their fried foods were all delicious. The skewers take more time to cook and have limited quantities, so try a bunch! My faves were the US wagyu and scallop skewers.

Great japanese skewer place. Limited seating and parking is hard to find but the food is worth it. My fave is the tako and the asparagus skewer. Bill can add up as each stick is about $3+. Didnt really like the clay pot rice and it takes about 30+ minutes to prepare.

My experience at Tori Ton was awesome and very satisfying! The food seems like very “made to order” because it tasted really really fresh! The flavors were very balanced, the food was seasoned and cooked to perfection. It’s my favorite type of restaurant because it’s not just a “hype” restaurant, is very local and I felt in Japan, which I haven’t had an opportunity to visit yet but I bet the best food places there would tastes like that!
