Been customers of this tortilleria for years. Best tortillas ever get in California, but during last month apparently they have change they recipe. Now tortillas are not that good like used to. They must check on that or they might get loose customers. hope they get this fixed soon we miss this tasty tortillas

This is my go to place for masa for tamales, champurrado, or anything else. The masa is made in the store. You can buy prepared or unprepared which means they mix the masa with lard,usually, and baking powder. If you buy it unprepared you can prepare it at home. They sell tortillas, carnitas, chicharrones, beer, and sweet bread too. Parking can be limited. If you don’t mind walking you can park at the other end of the shopping center. Be ready to wait in line anyday you go. If it’s Christmas Eve morning you better be there in line before dawn. They are following COVID19 guidelines. If you are paying with cash they want exact change due to the coin shortage. They take ATM cards too but charge 55 cents.

I’ve been going to this shop since my mom used to push my stroller, and even after they sold to new management around 2014 if im not mistaken. They still have that authentic taste/and feel if the corn tortillas… if you hit the place early you cans score on some super tender carnitas, borona(chicharron) or chicharron grueso. This tortilleria factory deserves more than 5 stars in my opinion.

Hands down the best tortilla in the area. I usually have to wait in line but it is worth it. I can’t make it out of the parking lot without opening the package and eating one before I head home. Be sure to check out their pan dulce and carnitas and salsa. No sit down eating but a place to get authentic ingredients simple and fast.

I’ll admit the food was pretty good, but their customer service is horrible. They are very rude. Almost as if they don’t want you in there at all. It wasn’t even busy when I was there, but they still managed to upset another customer in the short time I was there.

I just went to buy some tortilla packages at La Flor de Mexicali right now. I can not believe the woman told me they only have Tortillas from Yesterday. Its already 7pm and they are selling tortillas from Yesterday. This can either mean one of two things. They did not make fresh tortillas today which I really doubt or they do not follow the FIFO RULE as most good places. First in first out. They sell the fresh ones first then sell the ones from Yesterday later in the evening. So disappointed because I had to do a long drive for not fresh made tortillas. They didn’t even gave me a receipt.
