Tortilleria La Esperanza is a different sort of eatery. It is designed for take out service only. My wife assumed she would get tacos but they do not sell tacos as a meal option. What they do offer (and it is a valuable addition to our area) is an array of proteins, expertly prepared and available for review on a hot bar. One can purchase meals (protein of your choosing, side of rice and a side of beans), proteins by the pound, fresh corn tortillas, red or green salsa and others. I had the Chile releno dinner with rice and beans. Everything was very flavorful. My wife chose to go NextDoor and get a sub sandwich.

Super authentic food! I’m Mexican and I am sooo picky about authentic restaurants. Even though there is no diner to sit in. You can take home some very delicious & authentic dishes. They are very kind, have a variety of salsas, from not spicy to really spicy. All types of meats and meals. They even offer different rice and beans and not a lot of places like these do. I used to drive to Winston-Salem. But I’m glad there is this one closer to home and much better taste. This review comes from the heart because I can’t believe I found a place that’s so authentic and good.

Absolutely amazing food!! The best barbacoa, frijoles pintos and chiles rellenos we’ve ever had. The staff were very nice and explained ways to save money when ordering. They are very fast and hard working to keep their customers happy and getting them in and out in a timely manner. The price for what we got was great too! We will definitely be returning

Great authentic Latino food and market. Best tortillas, chips, and chicharrone. All of the salsas and food are fresh daily. Very nice service staff. Get there early for roasterie chicken.
