I am from an area with several “real Italian” family owned restaurants, so my comparison is based off of that. This was my first time visiting and brought an out of town guest with me.

Absolutely love this place. Their take out system is the best. Get the Cheese bread!

Joe and his fabulous team did an excellent job catering 2 pastas, bread, and salad for our mothers surprise 80th Birthday. Everyone commented on how delicious the entry was and mom had an amazing time.

Went with friends for a bite and was pleasantly surprised! Close to us. Gluten free options. Noodles and pizza and a few other things. Two different ovens. Wood and brick fired.

Great food and nice atmosphere. Owner recommended the Tuscan Chicken and the Sydney pizza. Both were amazing! Will definitely come back!!!

I went to the “restaurant side” and not the “woodfire side” and got seated right away. Apparently they have different menus??

Food was okay nothing to write home about. Drink was watered down. Wait staff were more interested in hanging out with each other than checking on their customers. The worst part was the place itself. The floors were dirty and flies and other bugs everywhere. Would not recommend.

3.5 star. I’ve been here a few times over the years and it’s the same thing each time, decent food but kinda steep prices. The gluten free pizza is a more expensive choice, but my complaint was, the charges for adding toppings are fine as long as you get a decent amount of those toppings. It looked like they took 1 slice of ham for the whole 10″ pizza. I had to break up jalapeños to get some on each piece. And the spinach we paid for seemed to only be on one side as well. Also the cherry tomatoes were still cold!!! Not going to say Domino’s is better quality, but you get more bang for your buck; the one in Hampton Cove will load the heck outta that gluten free Pacific Veggie. Tortoras IS better than Earth and Stone Wood Fired Pizza though; E & S is very skimpy on toppings (at least the one near Campus 805 was, their pizza was just as costly or even more so and had way less toppings that I paid extra for. It was sad.)

We prefer the wood-fired grill side to the regular pizza side! It has a more upscale, mature vibe, while the other side is more casual and family-friendly. They have fresh flatbread that is simply delicious. I had the pear salad with added grilled chicken, which was very filling.
