Our usual place was closed today so decided to grab take out from here. We’ve never been before and I know take out is never as good as eaten in however, I took one bite of each thing and didn’t go back for another. Everything seemed like it was made last week and then heated up before being put in the box. We got coconut shrimp, gyoza, chicken satay and sweet and sour chicken. This meal was NOT cheap.. I’m so disappointed.

We were seated in the bar right in front of a blaring speaker. There were plenty of other tables, and we later saw the actual dining room, which also had open tables. We had to ask the waitress to have the music turned down so we could hear each other. The drunken noodles were good.

I go here every now and then when I want sushi because the sushi is not bad, and the price isn’t outrageous. I do like their vegetable fried rice and the seaweed salad. The restaurant itself, however, is very dirty. Almost every time I go, the tables aren’t cleaned off well and the floor is sticky. Overall, the place isn’t bad, and it looks nice inside. I recommend take out and sushi.

Our waitress was friendly. The sushi was tasty and pretty. The table next to us got their food long before us although they came in after us. The music was way too loud. We had to shout to hear each other.

It is the beginning of July and the place is incredibly hot. Almost every surface feels sticky. The food was subpar, my partner got the shrimp tempura and he said it tasted stale. I had the orange chicken and it was decent, though o rarely get that so I can’t really say it was bad. The atmosphere is just so hot that it’s hard to relax and there isn’t any background music playing either. We won’t be returning.

Expensive for what you get food wise and I’d love more decor, for being a fairly new place (2012) the back room where we were looked pretty run down. Staff was friendly and helpful and even made sure we had gluten free soy sauce as well as cheesecake for our anniversary.

Wondering about the authenticity of many of these reviews. Service at hibachi was poor and the food was mediocre at best. The hibachi chef (an older man) was stoic and emotionless as he cooked. Never bothered to take the time to verify our orders before cooking, that was a red flag. When I politely told the chef the order was incorrect, he said nothing and gave me the remaining 4 pieces of chicken on the grill. Complained to the waitress and her response was to have someone cook some chicken for me in the kitchen. 10 minutes later after everyone was finished I got unseasoned dry chicken. Save your time and money and go elsewhere unless you enjoy that type of treatment.

I’ll be honest and say that my review is solely based on the take out experience. For people on the Colchester/Salem area, Toyo is our favorite sushi/hibachi takeout place. I’d say we get a great value/quality here. The hibachi takeout is impressive as well, just without the show and wait. We also really enjoy the Pad Thai and other noodle dishes. The online ordering makes it convenient as well!

Great place! Staff was super sweet and kind. Very clean and plenty to offer. My mafia roll was okay, but not the best. The rest of the food was delicious. I will come again and try some new stuff next time! Only thing I wish to see would be more drink options.

Very expensive sushi that isn’t very good. Small rolls for big fancy prices. Our staff was friendly and attentive but the bar smells like urine and the food is too expensive for the quality being served. Not really impressed with this place.
