I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh and delicious the dishes were! For sushi I look at texture/flavor of rice and freshness of the fish – this place did not disappoint. Even tho I came just right before closing, the staff were so friendly and helpful (all with a smile!) I think I’ve found my new favorite sushi spot in the east bay!

A delightful sushi restaurant. Their sashimi and sushi rolls were excellent, fresh and delicious. Yhe servive was friendly and prompt without being pushy. Sit outside under the veranda if you can. It’s expensive, but worth it.

Sushi to the supreme ! Great atmosphere and original menu, I haven’t been so pleased in a sushi restaurant in years. Met the owner Tom : he is a wonderful restaurateur. Thank you for the hospitality.

Excellent quality. Good consistency and good flavors. The Osho roll with mango and lobster was tasty. Poke salad with the taro chips was refreshing in a hot summer day. Spider-Man roll tastes solid and not over fried. Worth coming back to try other rolls on the menu.

Our new favorite sushi spot! The food and service were great. Although relatively small, this location serves pretty good sushi. Presentation was awesome and quality amazing. Definitely a spot to check out!

One of the more authentic Japanese restaurants in the East Bay. The fish is fresh, and they serve fresh daikon. The appetizers have subtle flavors instead of just being doused in soy sauce. Great service with outdoor seating.

There were 2 strands of hair in the Omakase. Not one, 2! That’s disgusting. Never ordering there ever again

Sushi came and was on the edge of being bad. Servers were more interested in standing around and talking about their lives than wiping tables and clearing up. The bathroom was horribly dirty. Dirty. Tourist atmosphere. Will not return.

I come here fairly regularly for the lunch sashimi special. The fish quality is the best I’ve experienced in the east bay, and is consistently good each time I go. The service is quick and the serving staff is always attentive – I’ve never had the feeling of “where’s the server?” at Toyosu. I recommend the chutoro, it’s slightly less fatty than the otoro and still melts in your mouth. The miso soup is delicious, rich in umami.
