I haven’t eaten here since I was a kid. I ordered the lime freeze and was transported back to my youth. The 1950s atmosphere is exactly what you’d want it to be in a eatery like this. The prices are fair and the selection widespread. I’d thoroughly recommend stopping by here. Next time, I’m ordering a lemon shake.

This was our first time visiting, and definitely will not be our last! Food was delicious, the staff very friendly and accommodating even on a busy day, and the atmosphere is fun and nostalgic. A great stop for our family lunch!

Our local friends recommended that we experience Traditions. They specifically recommended the lime sherbet freeze soda. It was fantastic! This place is adorable – a throwback to the 50s. Mike, the owner was there, and told us about the diner’s history. As we sat at the old time bar, we also split a roast beef and gravy sandwich- a true comfort, to-die-for experience. The malts are creamy and delicious as well. The entire staff was warm, friendly, and seemed truly excited that we had come to experience Traditions and Garden City. We would highly recommend stopping by to dine in!

Quite busy on a Monday at 11:45, I enjoyed the lime freeze and took a turkey Rueben to go due to the time it took to prepare. Plenty of memorabilia and people watching to keep myself entertained. The drink and sandwich were great.

One of those classic diners that is permanent Americana. Basic entrees (hot beef sandwich, corned beef sandwich, burger etc), plus Blue Bunny ice cream and homemade pies. The hot roast beef is delish. Super-friendly owners and very appealing diner atmosphere.
