Trail Boss Steak and Grill is a sweet hole-in-the-wall place we are all looking for. The bar keep, Alicia, was a lovely young lady with a calming vibe. I ate the Primal, which is the superior reincarnation of the Philly Cheese Steak. Sliced Prime Rib on a Hoagie Bun with Horseradish Cream Sauce, Swiss Cheese and a Side of Au Jus. Next time I will add mushrooms and an extra side of the Horseradish Cream Sauce. Instead of the fries or chips, I upgraded to the Onion Rings which are thickly sliced and delicious. I drank the Bantucky Bellini, the House Cabernet and the Lavender Lemon Drop Martini. On the back of the menu there is the Chef’s Choice which is buying the Kitchen a round! Do it! And then tell the bar keep to add their after work choice on the tab too!!! Thank you, Alicia!

Korey and Alicia are amazing bartenders and create such a friendly and welcoming environment. They’re honestly our favorite bartenders. The wings and salmon are wonderful! Tips to the chefs. Jeff makes amazing salads and they’re beautifully prepared and fresh!

My dad brings me here every time we come to Bandera (which is A LOT) to work on my grandpas ranch. I get a great salad and he gets the 14 ounce New York Strip with double mashed potatoes…no salad… every time. He says it’s the best steak he’s ever had and I believe him.

Welcoming atmosphere. Our server, Hunter, was very attentive but not overbearing. Meals had more than adequate portions and everything was served hot and fresh. Chicken Cordon Bleu was tender and flavorful with an amazing garlic butter sauce and chicken fried steak was tender and smothered in a flavorful white cream gravy. Splurged on lava cake for dessert even tho we were so full and it did not disappoint. We will definitely go back to try other dishes from their menu with numerous options.
