We had the lasagna, fried zucchini and cheese sticks. As expected everything was absolutely amazing! This family knows food and how to prepare it perfectly! We always loved the Thai food here and now the Italian cuisine.

Soo nice to have a small Italian eatery in Hendersonville. Reservations strongly recommended. Dress causal. Be patient, short staffed and dinner will take a while. Craft alcohol and beer bar, very nice. Food is great with a good selection. Prices are probably a little on the low side for the amount of food you get (nice serving size). Staff are great, but unfortunately overworked, as is the chef. I really like the place and am eager to return.

I didn’t get a photo of the food (Pesto Tortellini) because it smelled and looked too good to not immediately get into my mouth! Oops!

On a weekend our party tried this restaurant. We enjoyed excellent service, thoughtful menu recommendations including drinks and appetizers. Everything was noteworthy. I had a lavender margarita and pasta with a brown butter sauce. Other items enjoyed at our table were house red wine and a strawberry mule. Appetizers were fried ravioli and bruschetta that was extremely delicious. Risotto, a gnocchi dish and a spiral pasta with shrimp were equally tasty. Very attentive service the icing on the cake. I highly recommend Trattoria la Caverna is a must go.

Visited here on 5/23/23 for the second time since it changed from a Thai to Italian menu. I was very happy on the first visit, sat at the bar, and the pepper pasta dish was excellent. They were verbally promoting their wonderful chef, and the food I observed coming out of the kitchen supported that.

Wasn’t impressed whatsoever with their fettuccine alfredo plate.. Slightly undercooked and lacking in consistency.. Could use some improvement and looking forward to coming back..

Highly recommend! From the beer, to the food, to the cocktail list, I couldn’t find something not to like!

We were really looking forward to trying this place after seeing all of the wonderful reviews, but sadly disappointed. The food was served over salty. One of our dishes was served cold. The place was really hot inside, with no relief, no air circulation (everyone was complaining). But, on a bright note, they do have good service, our server was kind and on top of it. There are 2 servers, twin sisters that were quite personable.

As an Italian and a former cook, we wanted experience a good Italian cuisine. This was not it. The menus online did not match what we were given. They only offer craft beer at 2 dollars more per glass than anyone else. The wines on their list were over priced, or substandard. The bartender was as slow as the kitchen. I walked around the restaurant which was full. 3 tables had food on them everyone else was waiting. The kitchen which is open to view was poorly run and slow as anything. We were at the bar for 15 minutes and no service. Tables were waiting for 45 minutes for apps. The number one thing you should smell when you walk into an Italian restaurant is garlic, onion and wine. The only thing I smelled a floor mopped with dirty water.
