Foods great and most of the employees are welcoming except ONE! Which is why our family that goes in regularly will not be returning. The tall thin brunette barista is very unprofessional. She regularly gossips about people and at first seemed positive but you short learn she is very negative. She is overly friendly to the gentlemen (making the women who accompany them uncomfortable). She dismissed my daughter and I and has been very rude to us when my husband hasn’t accompanied us. We see her regularly talking with the same man daily and will not acknowledge customers who come in, just to finish her gossip. We have seen her be very rude to some of the teens and a few younger kids. Her face tells all when she is cross with a customer who comes in the door. Honestly, I can see this place losing a lot of customers if the owner does not get rid of her soon. I know a lot of people who refuse to give them any business because of this employee. It is very disheartening because Hemingford does not have great places like this one but unfortunately one bad seed can ruin a place in a small town as such! Once she is gone we will return.

The 1 star reviews are wrong. I had the breakfast burrito, it was enough to feed to people and was delicious.

Very unique and nice atmosphere, everyone very friendly, wide varieties of coffee offerings. Breakfast there and it was all five stars. For breakfast or lunch a good place to stop.

Back in Hemingford again and we took our youngest Grandson to a birthday breakfast. Food was just as good as last time (see below) and the staff just as friendly. Highly recommend you try this place.

Had the $13 prime rib sub special. Potato salad and watermelon were good, as well as, the service. The prime rib was to salty or seasoned. Three bites in and complained. No offer to substitute for a lower price sandwich. Tried feeding it to my husband, he couldn’t eat it either. Very disappointed.

It seems to me that many reviewers here say things that are not exactly true because of that small village “Don’t ruin our reputation” mindset, and for that people are willing to lie, or at the very least allow themselves to be deceived. That one gets lots of food for the price here is a joke, or else they don’t get out that much to experience what a lot for the money means at restaurants. Many 70 and 80 year old Hemingford elders will quietly confide that you really don’t get that much for what you pay for here. In all fairness, the food IS pretty decent as is their excellent coffee, having eaten breakfast here 4 times, though each time I was disappointed with the amount of food received compared to what it cost. I’ll stick to making my own eggs, taters, and toast at home for a buck.

This is the quintessential small town cafe’. Food is very good quality. Front of house service is exceptional! Atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, and your fellow patrons offer genuine smiles and friendly conversation. I really can’t say enough about the service. Frankie is one of a kind. If you are blessed enough to have a cup of coffee and a meal in this place your life will be enriched because of it. My wife and I drive over 1,100 miles to have seat in this establishment and we are never disappointed. If you would like a good cup of coffee and to sit down in a place that feels like it did 60 years ago this is it. This is your one chance do not pass this by.

Placed a call in order before starting work. Waited appropriate time for order. Ended up waiting for guests with students who were prioritized. I do clock in at work, frustrating.
