Good overall, I mean, I really like the food, this time I had a combo plate with chile relleno which comes with rice, beans and tortillas, so delicious, made me feel like back home. Service could be just a bit faster, just that.

The location is good parking was easy tables and chairs available for dine in and tables chairs outside for outdoor dinning. It’s not fancy. The fresh watermelon juice was Devine the prices were fair service was a little slow. The Restrurant could use a little more cleaning up there were a lot of dirty tables so maybe they are short staffed. I had fish taco plate $13 a little pricey for self serve. I normally like Baja style but it was good the beans and rice though were not eatable they were old and tasted bad. My husband had the Carnitas torta he said it was good your normal torta sandwich he also really liked the bagged Carrots they serve with your meal. I will come back again

I wanted to cater lunch for a business and shopped around among several restaurants and the folks that show up with a grill and do taco bars. I went with Trejo’s due to their high ratings, the price, and the responsiveness of Julio. Wow – am I glad that I did. The food was amazingly good and the complete spread with two kinds of taco meat, tortillas, beans, rice, salsas, limes, taquitos, salad w dressing, chips, guacamole and flan was fantastic. Everyone kept saying how great the food was and how much there was. The price and value were exceptional. If you want to cater an event – look no further – Trejo’s is the bomb!

So, would have gotten around 4.3 stars, but the way the sauce container opened up in the bag and made a mess of everything reduced my overall opinion of this place. Maybe not fair, but at least I am telling you why. Food is decent, not great. Price is a bit high for what it is and what you are getting. They have dollar tacos one day a week, but no telling what those look like that one day. Sauce is meh (like had it been good sauce all over my food, not so bad) Not a whole lot of parking, a pain to get to if approaching from the north. Entrance is accessible. May not visit again, for the price and satisfaction would have been better off with Del Taco.

This spot was highly recommended for great food by my SIL. I’ve been eating here all week and again today trying everything possible. I have to say this is one of the best Mexican food spots here in Huntington Beach. I’ve had all the other spots including Taqueria de Anda that just opened up and I have to say Trejos is the hidden gem! Best part is the tortilla is homemade which you can taste and every dish so far has not been a disappointment! Service is fast and friendly as well.
