First time eating African cuisine. They made the experience was worth it. I was a little upset but it was my fault. The Egusi w/ beef and FuFu I ordered has shrimp paste in it. I’m allergic to shellfish. So me and my wife switched plates. We enjoyed the food will definitely come back. Thanks Trices

Oh my Trices! Let me just start with, I’ve never tried this culture of food before, and boy am I mad that I didn’t try it sooner. I’ve always been interested but haven’t found many places near me where they serve this type of cuisine. I am from out of town so when I did go home, I tried to search for something similar to Trices Café and Lounge, very good. I tried fufu for the first time and heard mixed reviews, but of course I was all in and wanted to taste the fufu myself. I had their Efo Riro Soup and good golly, yes. The spices were glorious accompanied by some fall of the bone chicken and a side of fufu, which, bomb. Eat with your hands, much easier, much faster, messy but delicious. I hope I come back again so I can try more food or maybe just get a BLEEP ton of Efo Riro Soup and fufu. My order was to go, but the man I spoke to was very kind in the small conversation we had and from where I was standing the venue was pretty spacious. There seemed to be a good amount of parking too, do stop by.

The food was decent, although maybe more of an acquired taste for me. The fufu is definitely something different than what I’m used to but fun and worth a try! The portions are pretty small for the prices for sure. The customer service was good and I’ll definitely be back to try some new things.

The owner is super nice and food was like nothing I ever tasted. We hung out at the bar after dinner and it was also a fantastic atmosphere. I highly recommend both the restaurant and bar

Ok so only giving 3 because usually they do not disappoint on 5 stars. I did an online order prior to my arrival, which is 35min drive, I get there and it’s not ready they said about another 20min so I run few errands come back in 30 they said about another 20 mins. Overall wait was about a hour and half for egusi. Inside was not very busy but idk about online orders. The cashier was nice, and food was great just disappointed in the wait time on a to go order that said 25min wait to over hour and half.

I dined in at Trices for the first time. It was very peaceful because I was the only person in the restaurant. I didn’t have to wait a long time to be served. Rotimi was very pleasant. I ordered egusi with chicken and white rice. The egusi didn’t have the acquired taste that I’m familiar with but it was still a good meal. I loved every song they played while I was eating. Also, the restaurant is clean.

My grandma used to tell me stories about her visits to Africa and how good Fufu was so I decided to find out for myself. My girlfriend and I made the trip across San Antonio and when we made it to Trices, we were sat right away. The staff greeted us quickly and took our order shortly after. The food took about an hour to come out, however there were two families ahead of us and I understand it’s a family owned restaurant so it was no problem at all. We enjoyed the sweet and refreshing palm wine while we waited. Once the food came to the table it was fresh, fragrant, and just phenomenal. We are until we were full and still brought some home. Thanks so much Trices cafe, for an amazing and authentic introduction to African cuisine!

This is my first time trying Tracys I am new to Texas looking for great African food cuisine I ordered the okra soup with chicken and when I got there somehow my order had been switched up with someone else’s and there was an okra soup there but it was assorted meats I thought I’d give it a try Because I had already drove 30 minutes to pick the food up I did not have time to wait any longer The food had a really good flavor although I was not used to the piece of meat I’m holding with the fork it was really fatty I just wish I had got my original order
