I got Trina’s for the first time today for lunch. I’m a HUGE Mexican food fan. Growing up in Texas with authentic Mexican. If you’re looking for authentic, I wouldn’t necessarily call this authentic. But it’s not horrible. I would recommend putting the sauce in something separate instead of on the tacos because it cause it to be very very soggy and fall apart, usually you would put 2-3 corn tortillas for 1 taco. The rice thru me off with peas in it. I had to double check that I didn’t order Chinese fried rice lol the hot sauce doesn’t really have a spice to it. But the tamales weren’t bad. Everything was pretty good besides the stuff I named.

One of the very best we’ve had anywhere in the Detroit Metro area! Crunchy tacos were fantastic (the homemade tortillas and tortilla chips are top notch)! Chicken quesadilla was excellent! Beans & rice were a star if the show! Highly recommended for sure and we will be back!

Best Mexican place within 100 miles! We came here for Cinco De Mayo, they were busting out orders so fast, working so well as a team, and the food was all AMAZING! Not to mention how nice they were while dealing with the craziness of the holiday! Here we are the next day getting another $100 worth of food because it was just THAT GOOD! 20/10 recommend!! We will definitely be back! Our New Mexican spot

This is not the place you would want to go for authentic tacos. The food was very very mid. 2/10. The Birria was very hard and not shredded, and everyone knows when you order from any Mexican restaurant you get chips and salsa with your meal and they tried charging like 5$ extra. Overpriced and not even worth it. Go downtown and you’ll get AMAZING service, AMAZING food for cheap! 2$ a taco ! I only came here because I didn’t feel like driving all the way downtown, however I will make that trip every time I feel in the mood for some tacos.

This place is amazing. the food, the atmosphere; the price. for $32 i got a FULL QUESADILLA (TASTES LIKE HEAVEN), My partner got some sort of burritos (they looked very well done) and i got flan (very tasty BUT i wish it was a bit bigger for $5) i have nothing but good things to say about this place. it’s top tier compared to other local places like juan miguels (which cannot compete) i ended up spending over $50/60 for the same thing! very great business and very good food. thumbs down to juan miguels.

When this restaurant first opened I was very impressed but slowly that began to change with mediocre service and food all over the carry out boxes from dirty hands. When I showed up today to pick up my order they had it wrong. I politely waited while they made a new dish (meanwhile the other food went cold and the drinks in the car going warm). I paid with cash and the girl went about her business. I had to remind her that she owed me change from a $50. Then in front of me the lady says give away this wrong order to the next grub hub. I thought that rude. Why not send it to my family that had to wait and received cold food due to a wrong order? That was offensive to suggest that in front of me. My families food was cold and the bottom of the quesadilla was black from overcook. Sadly I no longer recommend Trini’s to my family and friends.

Best Mexican food, service, and people. Our family all loves Trinis. The portions are generous and everything is so delicious. Prices are great too.

I’ve ordered carry-out from Trinis about a dozen times. I won’t say their food is bad but it’s far from being on par with the nearly perfect review score rating found online. In fact, being primarily a carry-out based establishment, their reviews don’t even take into account dine-in service based factors such as wait staff, cleanliness, speed of service etc. This means that , for some reason, people are implying that their food alone is of 5 star flavor, quality, and value. Trinis is average at best. People who eat Mexican food regularly will immediately notice 3 things: they (oddly) put peas and carrots in their rice, their tortilla chips are like biting into a piece of plywood, and their menu items featuring beef can only be ordered with ground beef as they don’t offer a shredded beef option. Their beens and rice are bland, so the peas and carrots definitely don’t help if that’s the reason they are in there. If you order a burrito with the wet option, they put an absolutely terrible and flavorless chilli sauce on it. In addition to the sub-par food quality, my order has also been inaccurate several times. I will likely continue to order from Trinis on occasion in an effort to help support a local business, however, my dining experience has definitely not been a 5 star one.
