I have not been to Tripps in years. I decided to order from them while visiting Greensboro NC. I have to tell you it was the WORST! I used to order the crab cakes back in the day, then they were really good, NOT ANYMORE. THE crab cakes were so filled with filler it tasted like I had grit in my mouth. The bartender looked at me a couple of times yet did not come to service me. I was truly disappointed. I won’t be going back. My order was take out.

When you step into a restaurant you should always expect great service with a smile. Anyone can have a bad day but don’t expect customers to understand or bear the brunt of poor service. A small group of us stopped in here and were promptly greeted. As we were walking to the area with the hostess she stopped mid stride and walk back towards the entrance and had a conversation with a person later we found out was the manager that night. While standing there the area we we’re going to had dirty tables that had not been cleaned. She came back and we went further to the back beside the bar. We sat at a booth. My area was ok but my one concern worker sat in an area where the springs and seat was wore out and not comfortable. At that point we sat, and sat, and waited for our waitress/waiter. They never came. The restaurant was not busy. We finally got the attention of the manager who came and took our drink order while we waited for the wait staff. A waitress finally came and took our order. Service stayed spotty the rest of the evening with at least three different folks trying to serve us. There was definitely a wait staff issue that evening. On the food itself it was fine but the evening was not a pleasant one for us. We will not be back.

We visited Tripps this past Friday night, and had a wonderful experience. Our waitress, Drea was great, very attentive and friendly. There were five in our party, and all of our meals were delicious and a good value for the portion size. I hesitated to go as I had read some negative reviews, but we saw how full the parking lot was and thought it can’t be that bad if they are this busy. We were glad that we decided to give it a try, we will definitely go back.

My husband and I recently ate at Tripp’s, and we both loved it. The appetizer was large, but very good. We had Tripp’s Trio. Then, I ordered a fillet mignon with baked potato. My husband ordered the baby back ribs with smashed potatoes and cinnamon apples. Our Caesar salads were great. My steak was cooked perfectly and was one of the best steaks I have ever had. My husband loved the ribs. I tried both his potatoes and apples, and loved them both. The potatoes were perfect!!!! The waitress we had was great!!!

Here on vacation from Miami, Florida. We don’t have a lot of restaurants like this so it was a nice change of scenery. Our waitress was Melanie she was so sweet and attentive. The food was delicious and the service was great. I definitely will recommend friends and family to this.

Love the chicken cordon blue, sauteed vegetables and grilled shrimp! *Always a winner* The ribs, baked beans and sweet potato fries are Awesome also. I even love the zest of the homemade cocktail sauce they use for the cocktail shrimp. Excellent food!

I came into town with a group from work and after having lunch there, we fell in love. So we ate lunch there the next day and then for dinner that night. But the dinner was horrible. Not only was our order incorrect, but the customer service we received AFTER bringing the incident to the managers was beyond disgusting. The manager was not only disrespectful to me, but I noticed his attitude with several employees. I will never patron this location again.
