Feelin’ for some Island Cuisine…? Look no more. Right in Riverdale, this quaint restaurant to accommodates with hot-table ready dishes. My friend truly enjoyed their jerk chicken meal with rice and peas, plantain and cabbage. Yum, yum!

Gentleman is very courteous and welcoming. Curry Chicken patty is delicious with a spicy kick. Beef patty was dry and over flaky- did not seem fresh. Plantains had a strange taste. Food was just ok…

Pretty much the worst Jamaican food I ever encountered. Coming from a Jamaican born and raised.

So I was having a taste for some Jamaican food and decided to give this place a try because I seen that not a lot of people have been and wanted to support a black business. This is not my usual place to order but this one time I tried will be my last. I ordered the large curry goat and a jerk chicken patty. The cabbage was hard and tasteless. The rice was dry and tasteless, the plantains were mushy, and I literally almost had no goat. The curry was obviously made with store bought curry powder as well, it was not authentic… I had to scavenge my plate for slithers of goat meat because it was all bones. It was as if they gave me last night’s leftovers from the bottom of the pot…Absolutely no meat. I am very disappointed. The jerk chicken patty had a burnt taste and was mushy on the inside like it was refried beans or something. $23 down the drain… I would not recommend this place.

This was the worst Caribbean food I’ve had this year! We ordered three different entrées in all three of them were horrible! the rice, in the rice & peas was still raw, the red snapper was tough, dry, which means the fish was old! the cabbage was chewy & had no taste whatsoever. we had chicken roti and the roti shell taste like leather! The oxtails were burnt, and All of the chicken was stringy! I can see if it was one entrees, but all of them! I would never order from them again & my Jamaican ancestors are turning over in their graves!

The best way to explain this place for me would be “7 hour old leftover pizza you forgot to refrigerate.” Deep down you know its safe to eat, but science and your mind tells you its bad to enjoy. You cook it up and eat it anyways. Its still good as “expected”.

Don’t waste your time, they’ll give you old food that’s been sitting out all day for a ridiculous astronomical price. Won’t ever go back there again. They use to be really good but since the pandemic it hasn’t been worth it at all.

I’ve been eating here for the last 15 and I swear the service and food never gets old. Hands down the best carribean food in the city. Each dish is seasoned to perfection and prepared with love. Let’s keep this Gem alive

When I was in town two years ago, I had good food and good service. Last night, I went in, owner spoke, and I stood there 8 MINUTES as he made someone elses order. Another customer walks in, he speaks. Afterwards the 1st thing I ask for he said they were out. I said what do you have so I can make my choice. He said I THINK WE ARE OUT OF EVERYTHING. I said seriously! You couldnt have told me that when I walked in here! The other customer said so you dont have xyz, he goes to the back..comes back and says no we are out. Common sense tells you that customers are there to order food so if you are out of everything, that is what you should right after speaking versus having people stand there. That was the most inconsiderate F your time and the fact most things will be closing soon. For that personally I will NEVER return. For the rest of you..you might want to ask before you go in and just stand there.
