My smoothie was watered down and missing an ingredient. The kale apple slaw was rotted and they gave it to me anyway. I called to let them know…they didn’t care. This used to be a good place to go, not anymore.

We walked into the store and was blasted with music. I thought I was in a club, it was so loud. The cahier did not seem too happy with having to serve us. The chicken flatbread was harder than burnt toast. It tore up the roof of my mouth just by biting into it. They gave me my smoothie and it slipped through my fingers because the lid was loose. They made me another one, but the new one was so limey that I couldn’t drink it. It almost tasted like they blended the lime peal with it. Definitely won’t be going back here again.

I work at a nearby business and have been going to this TS for the last 10 years. I always order the same thing – Totally Turkey Wrap and an Island Green smoothie. The wrap is no longer listed on the menu, but the staff has always recognized the order and made it for me anyways. Even those that don’t remember the menu item will say, “what’s on it? We can make it for you!”. Today, I asked the lady for a Totally Turkey wrap, acknowledged it wasn’t on the menu anymore, but that they can usually make it for me. The woman was immediately bothered by my even standing in front of her. “We dont have that. It’s not on the menu, I don’t even know what that is.”. I told her I knew it wasn’t a menu item anymore and explained what it was. Her reply “no, we don’t have that. It ain’t even on the menu, like I don’t even know what to ring up. No, I can’t do that”. I literally chuckled at her awful response, said never mind and left. I wasn’t even bothering with the smoothie at that point. Judging by the reviews, this location is losing customers fast and should address the issues instead of politely responding to negative google reviews. If a white shirt means manager, a good start would be addressing that individual. If you don’t care about ruining someones day by being ugly, I can’t imagine you care about customer satisfaction.

In Mechanicsville, Virginia 23116, at 9363 Atlee Road, Suite 2101, I visited the Tropical Smoothie. When I ordered my food, the manager, an elderly woman in a red wig, was so unpleasant that she double-charged me for a bahama mama smoothie even though I only requested one mango magic. When I requested a remake since the workers had made my smoothie too icy, a Caucasian coworker wanted to reblend it, which I told her was cross-contamination. She used a dirty blender and top to reblend my smoothie. The manager refused to give me a refund when I requested for one and left the room.

A few people working, the one employee was scratching herself and all I could think about was, is she making our food and shake? Does she has to wear gloves? She keeps scratching her nose and she isn’t wearing gloves or washing her hands. I just watched her hand a customer something out a hand she used to wipe her nose!. Oh man! I’ll have skin cells in our food and beverage. I think we will have to just toss the order. Never coming back.

Had an unfortunate run in with this shop. We’ve been many times before in the past and had fine service. They seem to be running with only 1 or 2 people in the store, and have been locking the doors and only taking online orders without any type of notice. Nobody will answer the phones either. We placed an online order, we live directly across the street, and went to pick up our smoothies. We had the same order the previous day with no issue. This time the smoothies were left out on the store counter to await pickup instead of being put in the fridge like they normally are. So upon pickup, they were nearly completely melted. We physically returned the smoothies, and were nothing but polite and understanding, but the woman behind the counter was very rude and tried to refuse to remake or refund them. Eventually she said fine, but she said nobody was available to process a refund. So we left our info and went home. Tried calling the next day to check on the progress, but they have not been answering their phone- so we went over to see if a manager was in that day. The same woman was there, was rude to us again, and said our refund was ‘processing’ so we thanked her and left, that was all we needed!

Seems to be a recurring theme based on reviews within the past few months: only two people working during lunch rush, waited over 45 minutes just for a smoothie. Hard to be mad at the workers when they have no support. Really hope they’re being paid for the double-to-triple the amount of work that should be expected of them. Very kind people behind the counter, despite the ridiculous expectations that are being put on them.
