We had been meaning to try Trudy Bird’s Ølbar for a while and finally got the chance. It’s a great atmosphere, we dined outside as we had our dog with us, but the interior was quite nice too. The service was excellent, friendly, welcoming, and efficient. The food was delicious, we had the chicken salad, meatballs, fried chicken, and donuts, all of which were outstanding. The chicken salad and meatballs were sort of an open face sandwich with a delicious and hearty rye bread. We’re looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality and flavor. We are looking forward to their menu expanding and appreciate how they are serving dishes they have already mastered. The Aquavit menu is expansive and while I enjoyed the flavor tremendously, my husband didn’t find it to be his thing. Beer selection is great though which is his thing. Overall, very satisfied and pleased with the prices.

We weren’t sure what to expect but we were curious. It was great! The food was really good and I loved the Aquavit, which was a new drink for me. The plates are small, like Scandinavian tapas, but surprisingly filling. The staff was very friendly and the place had a nice relaxed vibe. We’ll be back!

Great to have a local place like this and I’ll support it by elbowing up. In my best observation, this is their soft-start, so to say, assuming this it the case because this town is so welcoming towards businesses… :eye roll: …so they aren’t brewing their own yet, but I still think this is the plan. I’m sure the menu will expand as time progresses as well. Food was very good, albeit a little pricey, but once again… These folks are just starting out and one can view the slightly higher cost as an investment in their future, the reason the doors will stay open as they transition from soft-start to full swing business. People are really nice there, the atmosphere is great whether on a date or with a large group. I’ll reassess the business in a handful of months, and alter this review. Folks – if you live in the area and enjoy having a local option, as a community, showing up and supporting these great folks is imperative right now in the early stages.
