I finally tried this place and I must say I was shocked! Definitely didn’t expect to taste brisket that was so flavorful and tender! I ordered a two meat plate with two sides. I got brisket and ribs…I’m more of a baby back rib person so I wasn’t too crazy about the ribs. I will say that they were good though. The brisket was tender…they give you a choice of which cut you prefer…lean or fatty.( I think that’s what they call it!) Now as far as the sides, I didn’t like either. I got the potato salad and the brisket beans…i think the beans should have had some baked beans mixed in to give a little sweetness, they were more of a pinto bean. I will definitely be going back but I’m going to try the mac and cheese and collard greens.

The Beef Ribs are really good here! They have great customer service too! I called ahead and when I got there Elaina had my order ready, she made sure I liked the cut of the meat too, I was really happy with my meal. It was definitely worth the long trip! We need more True BBQ locations on the inside of Houston!

Best BBQ I’ve had in a long time. Imo blows spring creek and papa’s BBQ out of the water. No comparison. I’ll drive the distance to get my BBQ here vs. spring creek that is only 1.5 miles from my house.

Forgot our bread with the brisket after asking if we wanted it, pickles and onions. Said yes to all, ordered to go. No bread. Was my son’s preferred birthday dinner. Said he’s super disappointed and he won’t go back to this one.

It’s not a Corkscrew, or a Godfather’s, but it can rival Rudy’s at times, and I like Rudy’s. I like Corkscrew too but it’s location and parking lot are the pits, and I refuse to stand in line with two dozen people. (And for the money, and the experience, I’d rather go to Godfather’s)
