The menue was insanely good! I was so excited I ordered my food over the phone so it could be ready upon my arrival, and they took my order after 1am on a Thursday night. The staff is so friendly. Although the place isn’t my vibe, people were there enjoying themselves when I came in. I had the Jerk Snapper, and my friend had the jerk lamb chops. Very spicy!

This lounge is the truth literally! While visiting the area back home in Jamaica Queens, my friend suggested we go for dinner and to enjoy karaoke night. They offer a few themed nights here and excellent Jamaican cuisine and cocktails. As someone who was raised by Jamaican grandparents, I know good Caribbean food. Truth offers good vibes, a trendy environment, and attracts a mature crowd that knows how to have a good time. The service here was that of a 5 star resort. The male waitstaff aimed to please here. We ordered a lemon drop and Malibu bay breeze cocktail. Drinks were good. We decided on the honey jerk and Sweet Chile Salmon dinner plates. The fish was generously seasoned and spicy. We cleaned our plates. The portions were perfect.

The food is amazing! Very flavorful the fruits for the Sangria were fresh this passion fruit mimosa was outstanding. This place is definitely worth the money spent. The oxtail was OMG delishhhh the rice n peas were just a little to spicy for me otherwise oustanding. The curry goat and white rice was also a hit! Nice chill spot on Merrick. You can easily forget that you’re on Merrick because the ambience is so calm, welcoming just right! I will be back

I had the best time at my first time last night on Juneteenth at Truth Lounge. Great customer service and even better food. I had the jerk chicken meal with plantain and it did not disappoint one of the best restaurants in Queens great music I can’t say enough positive things about this place which is refreshing because the Last restaurants I visited gave Jamaican food a bad name but not Truth Longe. Truth is the Truth Big Up Unnah Self

I’m guessing the rent on Merrick Blvd. has increased because this by far is the most expensive Jamaican lounge I’ve hung out at. While specialty cocktails such as passion fruit margarita are expected to be pricey I’m still trying to process the $15.54 I paid for Wray & Nephew with Coke. Still it’s a fun vibe, a cute place to take lots of pics and the music is awesome. There’s also a back patio for smokers.

Tasty food, good music and great drinks. A bit on the pricey side, but good service and they were very attentive to detail. Plenty options on the menu and ambiance is a plus. I will return soon.

Food was good. Atmosphere was lively. One negative: Food took a long time to get to our table. The chef needs to prep all the ingredients for the steam fish. I should not be waiting so long on some fish. My cousin left Brooklyn and got to Queens (45 mins) before I got my food. I almost passed out at the table.

I’m plant-based but cheat every blue moon :). I normally don’t eat heavy food 7p-11a, but was in the freaking mood at 1a-2a. I’ve been twice and ordered Cod Fritters & Conch Fritters (better than the Cod imo), Wings: Mango Habenero & Sweet Chili (better than the Mango Hab. imo).
