When I came to the establishment there was young lady at the counter she greeted us allowed us to look at the menu to figure out what we wanted to order then a gentleman approached with a baby and as she reached for the baby she allowed the child to walk across the counter and she did NOT disinfect afterwards then while waiting for my order she sat on the counter and slid across to the pedestrian side and came back and still did not wipe off or sanitize the counters. When I got home to eat my food my greens were extremely salty, my yams were okay, my Mac and cheese was stringy, and my fish had a cleaner taste to it as if someone had just wiped the prep area off before they placed the fish to be prepped or seasoned whichever. And something was in my yams and as you can see I didn’t eat very many a simple taste.

This Food Truck was at the Juneenth Event Celebration on Monday in Goodyear and I agree 100% with a previous review of this place at a Jazz Fest a couple of months ago. They were unprepared , disorganized & very rude! We waited in line for our food for almost 1 1/2 hours only to be told when we got to the pick-up window that they were out of the catfish & fries we had ordered! They offered a substitute which we declined & requested a refund, which they were reluctant to do. When the lady finally agreed to give me a refund, she only gave me back a portion of what I paid & since they don’t give any kind of receipts when you order, it was my word against her. I finally took the refund (I paid cash) she offered & also the loss. Also, none of them had on gloves and they were picking up food with their bare hands and touching their hair and everything else without washing their hands. Very unsanitary. Will never buy any food from them!

We went in a Hungry family of 5. Initially Both my son and & I wanted the Chicken Philly, however we were informed that it was being taken off the menu so I ordered the Shrimp Po Boi and it was very flavor filled. My son the 2 piece chicken with two sides which he said was better than Popeyes. My mom ordered Shrimp and grits and my Daughter’s the chicken tenders and a waffle. It was So Good! We all left satisfied and full. The reason I took off a star is because the menu was not updated when I had my mouth fixed for a chicken Philly. Also they offered a small assortment of soda in a bottle and a red punch in the back so we bought drinks elsewhere. Also I did not care for the location! Other than that I will return again to support this lovely black owned business but I will call in my order and take it to go!

This place was at the jazz fest yesterday and they came very unprepared and disorganized. We all had to wait an hour for our food causing us to miss some of the show, both ladys did not have on gloves and was touching our food with their bare hands, my food was cold and the chicken also had hair in it. Definitely will not be trying again.

Ordered a couple downtown meals- We got the chicken, catfish greens, baked macaroni, yams, Pinto beans with meat in it. Portions was fair, food prepared awesome got full and food had good flavor. Definitely recommend( they just need to serve smothered pork chops and hot links) Will return again.

I will definitely be a return customer. The Seafood Mac-n-Cheese and Garlic Rosemary Lamb Loin Chops specials were really good. The daily menu is also great! But in addition to the daily menu, I can’t wait to try their other specials… fried crab legs, fried lobster tail, rotating desert specials. This is a well thought out restaurant with really great food.

I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews before I went to try this restaurant because I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ordered! Luckily I tried quite a few things on the menu and I must say it was all well made. I had the catfish, dirty rice, mac & cheese, greens, jalapeño corn bread and yams. I was HUNGRY! And they did not disappoint. Everything was delicious, freshly made and l received my order quickly. I’d suggest anyone who had a bad experience to try them again. I sure will!

I heard about this place and decided to check it out for lunch! I am glad that I did! I ordered the catfish with Mac and cheese, sweet potatoes and muffin and that was delicious. I also ordered the turkey leg with the delicious sauce and it was good and tender. I ordered the banana pudding and punch…everything was good. The staff was friendly and professional. I will definitely be back!
