I seen all the 4 and 5 star reviews and figured this BBQ might be okay, but unfortunately my experience wasn’t as good. Place is nice and service is good, but the food wasn’t the BBQ I was expecting. I will say the pork roll nuggets were excellent and seasoned well, but the brisket and pulled pork were very dry. Our server tried to bring us some that he thought would be better, unfortunately the brisket was the same and the pulled pork just had cooking juice poured on it, but it was still the same dry meat. He did give us a discount on the meats, but I thought in reality it should have been taken off completely since he had seen we didn’t eat any of it. The Brussels sprouts and collard greens were good, just not great. This restaurant has potential, but the BBQ has to get way better. As you can see from the bill, I paid quite a bit for food that I only ate half of.

We are staying at the Holiday Inn and decided to eat here because of the convenience and the menu looked good. We were not disappointed! Our server Amanda was amazing. Literally the best. So sweet and helpful. The hostess and bartender were equally awesome. We were thinking of finding other restaurants to go to during our 3 days in Hazlet but the food here was so good and we only tried half the things we wanted to, we will definitely be back. And they have trivia and bingo! Food and service are 10/10!!

The place looks decent. We went on weekdays, so it was not crowded. But the food was a big let down. My pulled chicken was very dry and flavorless. The sauces were decent but nothing to rave about. My son’s fried chicken sandwich lacked flavor. Overall, there are many bbq places around that are far better.

Every time we come to this place, it looks more and more neglected. This place is poorly maintained and clearly this been a long time. Broken things everywhere, still water because pumps are broken, green ripped everywhere, weeds growing everywhere. It’s sad because it used to be a nice mini golf course. I guess it’s only the mini golf course at Monmouth Park for us now. Such a shame.

Stopped in for lunch and got a half pound of brisket with spicy BBQ sauce. It was excellent. Very moist with great flavor. The BBQ was excellent as well. The hostess was very friendly.

Popped in for lunch and it was a great experience! Would definitely check out if looking for a bite after a movie. The cherry moonshine sauce was delicious, chicken and waffle sandwich was also a homerun and definitely had to get some fried pickles!

Comedy night Tuesday- found out about this vpa Uncle Vinnies Comedy site – I love comedy and saw they were doing something locally in the Bayshore and had to go. Glad I did! Great night out!! every comedian was hilarious and the margaritas were amazing. The MC host Tim RRAGER was FaNOM – we will be back!! Comedy is 5 stars!

This place is definitely better food than the last restaurant that was here (inside of Holiday Inn) but it’s not great. The service is good, the kids menu has the best names, and there was good 90’s country music playing so, three stars.
