Go to this place!! It is so worth it! My husband and I found it last weekend, when we went to Dinosaur National Monument. We now live in a town that does not have good Mexican food (my husband is from southwest Texas on the border and I am from New Mexico) and whenever we travel to a place that might have good Mexican food, we try it. We had plans of driving into Vernal to get something there but instead found this spot. We liked it so much that we are considering a special trip out there this winter to get tamales. We went for lunch. We happened to be the only people there so the owner’s daughter and our daughter played while we ate, which was only an added and unexpected bonus. The food was wonderful and obviously made with love. I felt like I was eating at a friend’s table instead of a restaurant. The portion sizes were perfect. The cost good. The flavors great. We struck up a conversation with the owner who shared a bit of his story with us. He’s a hard working man, friendly, who cares for his business.

Couldn’t order off of the full menu, but it hardly mattered because what we got was phenomenal. Chimichanga was crispy and delicious

I ordered the three enchiladas platter and my boyfriend ordered the smothered burrito platter and two tacos and it was honestly the best authentic mexican food we have had in a long time! Large portions for a good price! Make your stomach and wallet happy at the same time! The staff was very friendly and that made it 10x better. I would highly recommend anyone passing through, stop here and eat. You will not regret it, I promise!

We arrived between the lunch and dinner service, but the owner cheerfully seated us and gave us the quick lunch we needed before we went on to Dinosaur National Park. It is informal but very cheerful, and the food was excellent. My first bite of the spicy ground beef in my tacos had me from the git-go. And by the way. . . the locals think highly of this place. He’s new in town, but this place is worth visiting and enjoying.

Ate lunch here with my boyfriend as we were passing through. It was recommended by a local and did not disappoint! The mini chimichangas were delicious and the birria tacos were out of this world! The food was super hot, fresh, and clearly made with care. I encourage anyone passing through to stop for a quick bite.

There isn’t enough good things I can say about this place. Authentic and absolutely delicious. Street corn and churros were the best I have ever had. The owners were so nice and attentive too!
