Food was delicious. Serving sizes are huge!!! Our waitress was great. Only downfall and it was a big one- I know they get very busy and we had a party of 9. But we waited almost 2 1/2 hours. I had to go buy something in the store so my blood sugars didn’t fall to low. When we got there we were told an hour and a half wait. It was much longer. Another family of 5 waited almost as long as we did. Too bad they didn’t take reservations at least for big parties.

I went for the first time as a celebration dinner for my own business (7years in business as a Travel Advisor and certified destination weddings specialist). We sat at the bar while we waited for a table. Justin (bar tender) let us know we could also eat at the bar rather than waiting 45 min for our table. He also explained the menu and what his favorites were as well as what they are best known for and the one menu item he would personally not recommend. I appreciated his honestly. I enjoy wine and asked about the wines, he gave me a full description of the wines and let me sample before ordering. We decided to start with Rooster Balls. They were not temperature hot but flavor was good, really enjoyed the cilantro sauce they were drizzled with. The wine was great as was our meal. Steak tips were cooked perfectly, smashed potatoes with a side of gravy, Street corn and the side of Mac and cheese which was THE BOMB!

We had a fabulous meal at Tuckaway Tavern. It was a very busy place but we got seated in about 20 minutes. The waitress was very attentive and we got our beverages right away. We ordered Nachos for an appetize. For our meals a Ribeye steak dinner, and their famous tavern burger. The side dishes that came with our meals were great. The attached pictures will show you how delicious the food was. If the pictures make you hungry then go to Tuckaway Tavern. It’s worth the trip and you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this place
